Video for our debut single "Queenie" - Filmed at The Horn Of Plenty, St. Albans, 1995...
Early version of "Revolve" recorded live at Farm Factory Studios, Herts, early 1995...
Guitarist and songwriter Pete Twyman, bass player Andy Lewis and drummer Miles Chapman joined forces with singer Wesley Doyle in 1994. A stack of catchy tunes, a frantic live act and a devoted following encouraged tiny indie label Vinyl Japan to write the first of a series of small cheques and cement what would be a very fruitful relationship with producers Jon McLoughlin and Charlie Francis. The title track of the debut release the "Queenie" EP received huge amounts of airplay thanks to GLR DJ Gary Crowley, whilst flip side "Me And Mr Lonely" was a big club hit in Japan in 1995 and is still selling some 11 years later. A second EP, "A Glummer Quartet" followed early in 1996, and later that year "Bubbles" was released. This was produced by legendary producer Pat Collier, and featured a line-up that was expanded to include a brass section of Chris Harding (sax) and Jenny Hobbs (trumpet). 1997 was spent gigging and writing the songs that would become the "Housebound" album. Keyboard player Martin Beaumont joined them around this time, and was with them when they went into the studio with Jon McLoughlin back in the producers' seat that summer. Spring 1998 saw the release of "Housebound", and some memorable gigs including a sellout show at London's 100 Club...
