Piranah is a veteran band from Nashville, TN, that was founded in 1993 by guitarist Matt
Seckinger. Soon after, Darren Andrews became the lead vocalist for the band and has remained the band's front man ever since. After having many lineup changes over the years, drummer Chris Higgins and bassist Thorin Milliken completed this revitalized version of the band in late 2006.
Piranah writes great metal songs that fall into no particular metal genre, but incorporate all of them. Piranah is unclassifiable and have a sound that is completely their own. With expert songwriting in hand and a solid line up established, they will continue to make all the noise possible as they forge ahead in the years to come.
Setting out to make a career of writing good songs, delivering energetic live shows, and with their national and international street teams behind them, Piranah has been broadcast in 41 countries to date. With three albums already to their credit, and their fourth release simply entitled "Piranah"
soon to be available, Piranah are set to make 2009 their biggest year yet! The album was mixed,engineered,mastered, and co produced by grammy winner Voytek Kochanek who's credits include Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Ice Cube, LA Guns, Peter Frampton, Ike Turner, Steve Vai, Michelle Branch, and now Piranah.

Just wanted to say hi and how you guys are. Well, last night was going so well, but apparently, my body had other plans. I woke up early early early this morning very very sick. I'm not talking flu sick- I'm talking stomach flu sick. I still feel sick, but was able to catch up on at least 3 hours of sleep before finally waking up. If I know me, I will be napping today. Well, I hope you have a great 4th of July!!
Hey Darren I have been listening to the cd all week.Yes I hear some that sound like Zep and also some old priest like back from the stained glass ep.You guys out did your selves on this one.It is a awesome cd and you should be proud of your selves for all the hard work you put into it.
