Plane of Existence began in 2001, when childhood friends John Kehoe and Jason Lockhart began writing songs together in their hometown of Austin, Texas. They solidified the lineup in late 2003 with the addition of mutual friends Dietrich Schmidt and Zach Boston. Now age 22 and 23, the quartet is bringing their music to audiences in Texas and beyond.
In early 2006, the band completed work on their second EP, Kinetic, with the help of producer/engineer Stuart Sullivan (Sublime, Butthole Surfers). The album's title track was an instant hit, garnering regular radio play as far away as Australia.
In past performances, Plane of Existence has supported Citizen Cope, Vallejo, Bob Schneider, Monte Montgomery, Pushmonkey, Wideawake, and South FM.
