Tammy (piano and keyboards)
If you want to know what the worship team that I played for sounds like (which I was a member of the band from 10/06 to 3/9/08), check out my 2 Friend Alisha's profile. There you'll find songs from their 2005 CD "Take Me In". The vocals are our former worship leader Randy Lawrence Jr. and his sister Alisha. They're grads of the Brownsville Revival school and also their dad is our Pastor. Also, check out Tanner's profile. He was my worship leader the last few months that I was in the band.
Jesus! Rev. Jermaine Griggs and the whole Hear And Play Zone Musician Site Family (ie Hammondman aka Anthony Grey, Keyboardman aka Samuel Tolbert, Jonathan Powell, labsonqu, shells, and TOO MANY more to mention...), Clint Brown, and Kim Clement. Local musicians: Randy Lawrence Jr., Alisha Lawrence, Tanner, Donna, Curtis, Jeffrey, Tim, Pete. Any musician that can really play, shout, and do preacher chords-ie Jermaine Griggs and Hammondman.
Favorite Types of Music: Shouting Music, Praise and Worship (esp modern/contemporary), Black Gospel, and Contemporary Christian. I ABSOLUTELY HATE hillbilly music (ie country, bluegrass, and especially S. Gospel/Country Church music). Favorite artists: Randy Jr. and Alisha Lawrence, IHOP and Misty Edwards, Redemption World Outreach Center (the most AWESOME church!!!, My fiancee and I want to move there!!!! We love that church b/c Pastor Ron Carpenter is really on the Word and the church is very Pentecostal too, and very free in their worship. He preaches the Word like it's written and comes against all religious tradition, which we have TOO MUCH of in our area.), Jason Upton, Leonard Jones, Suzi Yari, anyone else from Morningstar Ministries, Israel and New Breed, Lakewood, Kirk Franklin, Martha Munizzi, Juanita Bynum, Kim Clement, and Clint Brown.
Also, check out my friend, Tanner's profile page. He is a very anointed local Christian artist and has performed at many different events in our local area. He sometimes comes to our church and plays with our worship team, especially when Randy's out. He wrote "My Favorite Dream", a Virginia Tech Tribute song a couple of days after the Tragedy, and created this video to go along with it. Enjoy!
Hello! I'm Tammy from the Radford VA area. I love to play the piano. From October 2006 to March 9, 2008, I played backup keyboards in a modern worship band at a local church, which was one of the best worship teams in my area. I'm also one of the most active and popular members of the Hear And Play Zone free online musician community (my absolute favorite site on the whole web!!!!), where I have over 3,000 buddies and help other musicians and help moderate the forums. Be sure to check out my new website, where I plan to give free lessons (ie midi files of preacher chords, talk music/worship progressions) and some great tips, tricks, and other helpful resources for pianists, keyboard players and other musicians in my blog and post links to other great resourceful sites for musicians (if I can stay away from the ADDICTIVE zone site long enough. lol! :-)
