Ryan Nicholson loves horror movies, plain and simple. Ryan started out in the film world as an award-winning make-up effects artist but writing and directing were always in his sights. After smearing the 'net with blood with his first short film "Torched ", Ryan focused on writing and directing his first feature length movie Live Feed . By the time "Live Feed" had hit video stores across North America, Ryan was already gearing up for his next feature. The brutal horror-comedy-revenge flick "Gutterballs ", released in 2008, became an international underground hit. Next comes Ryan's blood-soaked nightmare "Hanger ", starring famous Scream Queen Debbie Rochon, which will hit shelves on November 17, 2009, and the slasher/psycho-thriller Star Vehicle for 2010.
Fans of "Gutterballs" rejoice, for there is also a sequel in the works! "Gutterballs 2: Balls Deep" will take place at a waterslide park, and may outdo the first film as a riot of boobs, bush and blood!
"I make movies that I want to see", Ryan says about his filmography. "I can't wait around for someone else to make them." When asked about the ultra-violent content and excessive gore in his movies, Ryan had this to say, "I make more is more horror. I am not of the school of thought that showing something off-screen is more effective than showing it on-screen. I like to show everything. I leave nothing to the imagination." Looking at Ryan's work, he is a man of his words!
