SUMMER 2000: Steev & Lori G. finish their first album as Tangemeenie, search for a band to play the songs live to support the album. ************************************************************** NOVEMBER 2000: Enter drums (Marcus Haines), bass (Erica Haines) and 2nd guitar (Shik Byrd)... play first show out as COLORWHEEL (since new members find the name Tangemeenie "distasteful"). ************************************************************** 2001: Band becomes its own separate entity and is dubbed POCKET NOVEL MYSTERY. Begin writing all new songs as a group. Begin recording. ************************************************************** 2002: Release their first CD, an EP called "Pieces of Grace", consisting of one studio and 3 live tracks. Band plays a lot of shows this year. ************************************************************** 2003: The band finally completes recording of their album, "EIGHT DAYS IN THE LIFE OF GRACE", which is released in September. We say goodbye to Shik. ************************************************************** MARCH 2004: Marcus & Erica decide to leave as well. Shik comes back for a swan song -- the last show with all 5 original members is played on March 12, 2004. ************************************************************** MAY 2004: Pocket Novel Mystery plays shows as an acoustic duo while searching for a new live drummer & bass player. ************************************************************** AUGUST 2004: Band plays its first show with Nate Sadler on bass, Brian Giblett on drums. ************************************************************** CURRENT: Still determined to sell some albums, the band still rocks as much as is humanly possible by people with day jobs.

i suppose this could be considered a tad incestuous to post a note for a band with whom i share a member, but i cannot control my lust...and why should i dammittt!!!
you sounded fantastic in 'o-town'--and managed to infuse some blood into that anemic festival! i fell asleep with the verses to "sun" looping in my head last night...
