Biography:
Pollution was born from the passion of five guys for music and hard rock.
After existing for a few years as a occasion of fun, we reach the present line-up in 2002. The world of live music is the one that's best for us in which we can express our best and touch the pubblic's interest, also thanks to the use of scene effects. Our hard rock was influenced by different type of music, that mix together, such as rock, blues and more “heavy” sound.
We recorded 2 self-produced demos in 2003 and 2005, and an EP last year. This is one is promoted by our booking-promotion agency called Bologna Rock City (http://www.myspace.com/bolognarockcity ), by which we’re in collaboration since April 2008.
Up till now we’ve collected many live experiences in our region (Umbria) and in other regions.
In November 2007 we have partecipated to the national contest "Rock Contest 2007", in which we were selected between more than 800 bands from all Italy and we arrived to the semifinals where we played at Viper Theatre of Florence in front of more than 700 people. We have also received the "Best Live Act" award and third place at Unimusic Live 2007, and we were one of the semifinalist bands at Italian Wave 2008.
But it’s thanks to the collaboration with the well-known Bologna Rock City that we had and still have the opportunity to play a lot around Italy, both alone and as a support of famous bands, in front of a great public.
Our last great gigs include opening act for: Hardcore Superstars in June, Babylon Bombs in October, White Lion in November, M.ill.ion's italian tour (headliner of the Sweden Rock Festival 2002) in December. Next month, in April, we will play with Jeff Scott Soto, and in October we'll be the opening act for Y&T and Firehouse (tba).
Moreover we will play at Summer Rest in Sleaze Festival 2009 or in the winter edition in January 2010, in Norberg, Sweden (festival in honor of deceased Crashdiet singer David "Dave" Lepard).
We're also writing new songs, and soon we'll record a new cd in collaboration with an italian producer..so stay tuned for more informations and gigs!!!

I Pollution nascono dalla passione di 5 ragazzi per la musica e l'hard rock.
Cominciata più come occasione di sfogo e di svago nei primi anni, arriviamo all'attuale line-up nel 2002. La dimensione live è quella che più ci si addice, nella quale riusciamo ad esprimerci al meglio e a coinvolgere il pubblico, anche tramite l'utilizzo di effetti scenici. Il nostro è un hard rock che ha subito varie influenze, nel quale si mescolano insieme rock, blues e anche qualcosa di più “heavy”.
All'attivo abbiamo 2 demo auto prodotti registrati nel 2004 e 2005, e un Ep registrato lo scorso anno. Quest'ultimo è sponsorizzato e promosso dalla nostra agenzia di booking-promotion Bologna Rock City (http://www.myspace.com/bolognarockcity), con la quale siamo in collaborazione dall’Aprile 2008.
Abbiamo alle spalle numerose esperienze live nella nostra regione (Umbria) e non solo.
Nel novembre 2007 abbiamo partecipato al concorso nazionale “Rock Contest 2007”, nel quale siamo stati selezionati tra più di 800 band provenienti da tutta Italia e siamo arrivati alla semifinale svoltasi al Viper Theatre di Firenze davanti a circa 700 persone. Abbiamo inoltre ricevuto il riconoscimento “Best Live Act” ed il terzo posto all’Unimusic Live 2007, e siamo stati tra le band semifinaliste dell’Italian Wave 2008.
Ma è grazie alla collaborazione con la nota Bologna Rock City che abbiamo avuto e abbiamo tuttora la possibilità di suonare molto in giro per l’Italia, sia da soli che come band di supporto di gruppi famosi, di fronte ad un pubblico eccezionale.
Le nostre ultime date come band di supporto comprendono: Hardcore Superstar Giugno 2008, Babylon Bombs Ottobre 2008, Pino Scotto Novembre 2008, White Lion Novembre 2008, l'intero tour italiano dei M.ill.ion (headliner dell'edizione 2002 dello Sweden Rock Festival) Dicembre 2008. Il prossimo mese, ad Aprile, suoneremo con Jeff Scott Soto, e ad Ottobre faremo da support band a Y&T e Firehouse (tba).
Inoltre suoneremo allo Rest in Sleaze Festival 2009 estivo o nell'edizione invernale a gennaio 2010, a Norbeg, Svezia (festival in onore del deceduto cantante dei Crashdiet David "Dave" Leppard).
Stiamo inoltre scrivendo nuove canzoni, e presto entreremo in studio per registrare un nuovo cd con un produttore italiano..quindi a presto con più informazioni e concerti!!!
