Sounds LikeFrom www.polyjesters.com:

A mixture of swing, folk, and roots music. Now you may be asking yourself, "Well, what the heck is roots music man?", and that's where we can clarify things for you. 'Roots' is more or less a word created for those who are still living in the past and refuse to listen to that new hippidy hoppidy music. It contains music such as old jazz, tin pan alley songs, old country, bluegrass, and ragtime. Now, of course the PJ's write their own music which is a mixture of all of these styles and thus we bring you: CHUNK!

From www.CDBaby.com reviews:

"Once you hear the first beats you know you're gonna love the whole thing!"

"GREAT CD...YOU CAN LISTEN TO IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND ENJOY IT LIKE IT WAS THE FIRST TIME! KA-CHUNK RULES!"

"It's stuck in my cd player. Brilliant! Fun! Incredible!"

"This CD is pure, unadulturated happiness!"

"Great job Guys!!! Very catchy tunes. My only compaint is...I can't get your tunes out of my head in order to function at my daily activities. It's always a pleasure to catch your shows."

"These guys are so tight! Great music, great musicians, this unique band will blow your socks off."

"The musical skills of these individuals are unquestionable! The songs stylings of Jason and Sheldon Valleau are fantastic! They write from the depths of their musical souls!"

"It makes me hot, happy, smile! I want to see live performance soon. Come to JAPAAAN!"

"I can't believe how happy this album makes me feel. It's unreal! My hat's off to all of you guys for this impeccable statement! Hope to be able to catch you live soon."

"As fiddler Scott Duncan puts it, “it’s actually been scientifically proven that it is impossible not to enjoy listening to Jay and Shel.” I personally would have loved to be involved in that study! The songs on this CD showcase their talent and creativity as musicians, singers and songwriters, and if you’re like me and like to sing along, yeah, you’re going to enjoy taking part in their flawless harmonies. Swingin’ Folk Chunk… I loooove it."

   About The Polyjesters
The Polyjesters are Canadian brothers Jason and Sheldon Valleau who hail from Alberta and honed their musical talents in Europe playing for everyone from passers-by while they busked to the Prince of Monaco. Since then they have been everywhere, including the Epcot Centre and sharing the stage with the famed Trailer Park Boys. It’s a bumpy, twisting road they travel rife with adventure, great stories and excellent music.

They play everything from Billie Holiday to The Beatles…from old swing/jazz standards to alternative country. A breadth of musical appreciation that produced their special home-grown blend called CHUNK, a unique sound that is highly energetic, completely contagious, unfailingly entertaining and appeals to a wide range of musical taste. Have a listen … www.polyjesters.com

THE BAND

Jason plays upright bass, Sheldon the baritone ukulele and both sing. The band morphs into several variations to include any combination of fiddle, percussion and guitar. These coveted positions are filled by an elite group of talented Canadian musicians. Drew Jurecka (fiddle) and Aaron Young (guitar) quartetify this tour

Brothers Valleau are funny, articulate, smart, charming and above all – talented. They are as much fun in an interview as they are on stage.

OFF STAGE They do it all themselves: write, arrange, play, produce, press and distribute their CD’s. They travel with a wireless money machine and go from the stage to man their own merchandise table.

Jason and Sheldon are first to arrive and last to leave. They are a sort of the personification of the green room: fun, well known, fairly comfortable and in need of a good steam cleaning. They come by this attitude honestly having grown up in a fun, gregarious, musical family.

They are well respected amongst their Canadian peers and endeavour to help their friends along the way. The guys manipulate the internet like they invented it and have found innovative ways to showcase their own talents and that of other independent musicians.

Jason runs an FM radio station out of his home in Carstairs and internet station www.kitchenradio.ca. Both stations feature other indie artists they have met on the road, some of whom are guest hosts. iTunes recently added Kitchen Radio as a station preset under two categories: Eclectic and International.

Sheldon surfed his way to a distribution deal with Japan and the band was flown over this summer for a promo tour. He also writes custom jingles for radio morning shows and anyone else who wants one.

The Brothers Valleau own and operate a recording studio in Carstairs and they host their annual Mountain View Music Festival www.mvmusicfest.ca which brings talent from all over to play Central Park …Carstairs, that is.

What don’t they do? Leave a bad impression.

Enjoy the music!

CountryHome Forum, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , is one of the biggest Forum for country music in Europe and part of CountryHome, www.countryhome.de , Germany's Premier Online Country Music Magazine.

CountryHome Forum have more than 5,000 members. Each news you submit to CountryHome Forum will released to my weekly Newsletter with more than 50,000 readers.

Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. If you do not have the time to submit your artist news and events by yourself, please send it me to: Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de and I will submit them by myself to CountryHome Forum.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.

I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.

Thanks

Christian

Great recording at Radio Lancashire last night - the pub after was as well - Cider Rules! Listen in on Friday 7th Nov 8.00pm (UK Lancashire time) to hear the show http://www.bbc.co.uk/lancashire/local_radio/ - on The Drift with Phil Brown.

Dylan was great as usual, but that was only for the lucky ones in the audience, as that bit of the evening doesn't go out on air - so thanks Dylan :0)
