| General | Playing Texas Holdem, especially online. I like playing big multitable tournaments for the high payouts even though I might only cash one out of 5 times, it's usually worth the wait. Between tournaments I play no limit cash games and limit, as well as sit n gos. I like setting up an image, however I don't spend a lot of time trying to do that online. That's something I might do as I approach the final table and players become more aware of each other's betting patterns, and as they start to have a better sense for poker odds, and poker strategy in general.
I'm always open to new poker theory. I like studying guys like David Sklyanski, but some of the stuff he writes is about advanced poker moves, concepts and theories, and it's little difficult to follow... | | Music | oar- crazy game of poker | | Movies | Rounders | | Television | ESPN WSOP World Series of poker 2004 2005 2006 2007, or any classic WSOP events. | | Books | Like I said, I reccomend Daniel Negreanu's power holdem strategy. Also Doyle Brunson's Supersystem 1 and 2 i, ii (a course in power poker), and hold em Harrington expert strategy for no limit holdem tournament vol 1- strategic play.
Also, if you are looking for a pokerbook for entertainment rather than advice, a popular book is Liar poker: Rising through the Wreckage on Wall Street

I'm a big fan of poker and after I read Daniel Negreanu's power holdem strategy, I became an instant fan of Daniel Negreanu.
Daniel Negreanus power holdem strategy is a MUST HAVE for any poker player. Whether you're playing limit holdem, no-limit holdem, pot-limit holdem; and whether you're playing cash game or tournaments, you need this book
The only book that compares to the power holdem strategy by daniel negreanu, would be Doyle Brunson's Super System: A course in power poker. Many are saying that Negreanus book will have the same effect on poker that Doyle's original Super System did.
Out of all the books out there, I have read quite a few, however I can only reccomend 3 poker authors at this time.

Dan Harrington: Harrington on Hold em Expert Strategy for No Limit Tournament

For Holdem players, Harrington on holdem Vol 2, the endgame is the most valuable strategy in the series for tournaments. Of course you have to learn the basics before you sit down at a table, and you have to learn to get to the final table. So if you need help to get more winning poker strategies, check out:

Of course, I reccomend you just buy Daniel Negreanu's power holdem strategy. If that 10 chapter content rich book doesn't help you get to more final tables, (and you should win a few too) then check out Harrington vol i
If you are consistantly winning in poker already, and making final tables, just start with :

all holdem players who want to win need to check 1 if not all of these books out.... I'm serious! I used to be a player who won about as much as he lost, probably lost a little more, but thanks to a few poker bonuses, I was able to maintain as I learned the game... A few books I read and my game really didn't change much and I really didn't learn anything new. But after reading Doyles book I won more money more often. Now after Daniel Negreanu Power Holdem Strategy, I'm now making thousands daily at medium stakes!

All these books are great resources for holdem strategies. However, the best of all of them is the
Power Hold em Strategy by Daniel Negreanu.
