Around August 1990 the first tape, 'Rückstand aus Vormonaten' was recorded. In 2002 Prager Handgriff had their first release in the USA called 'Neurotix'. The band started to write lyrics in English, but soon after turned back to their native language of German, mainly so their message would remain clear to the German audience they grew from.

At this point it would be more confusing than helpful to compare the music of Prager Handgriff to others. Although daily life in an industrial area influenced the band, early new-wave and German punk bands played a big part as well. Prager Handgriff attempts to translate a full spectrum of influences into music without having usual clichees. The style of music is left to the listeners and their imaginative power...

With their steady political engagement, the actual references to the political occurences, their strong lyrical expressing ability combined with pushing Electro-beats and catchy melodies, Prager Handgriff take a unique place in the field of the heavy steelclass. Today they are one of the most important german Electro-acts.
