If your band has been picked to minister at this years PraiseFest you will receive a message from me on your myspace site giving you my personal email address. Please email me at this address if you are still interested in playing at this years fest. Place the word "PraiseFest" in the subject line.
We are scaling back a bit to allow more on stage time for set up, time for ministering and tare down for each band or musician. We often ran too late on our schedule in the past, so we believe this time change will help.
With gas prices up we do understand if you feel the need to back out as we are a free fest and do not pay anyone for ministering at the fest. We would ask that you let us know at least three weeks in advance so we can pursue others who desire to minister at PraiseFest.
We do have a long line of bands, musicians, and even some speakers that are interested in ministering this year. My apologies to you who will not receive a chance this year, but I do so appreciate your desire and willingness to come and minister. If you don't hear from us this year, don't give up! There is always a chance next year!
God Bless, Ray (ReceivingRed)

PraiseFest History ..........
PraiseFest was birthed in 2004 ..... I know many Christian musicians and had a desire to get them along with others for a small free Christian music fest. The clincher is everyone comes free to it, no one gets paid. I opened it up to God and said, "Lord, I believe You are in this. (I was in the middle of being laid off from my job of 6 years.) You will bring those both that you want to minister, and those that you want ministered to. I will dedicate my time to this fest, trusting you to provide a job for me. God was faithful on both accounts.
PraiseFest went well, we had around 10 artists or bands show, and had over 100 people show up to listen. I'm from a town population under 600 so 100 is good! The large majority of attendees were Christian. There was a large variety of styles of music represented. There are many different ages and backgrounds represented in those who attend.
Definitely I enjoy worship and praise music, we had Christian rock, country, mellow adult style... all different styles. I'm trusting God to bring in those again this year that are led to come and be a part. I guess I would say, If God is saying to come partake, let me know. It's great to meet other Christian "Indies" and see how God is using their ministry.
It's fun, fellowship, and music, both for the artists and attendees.
I can make no promises that anyone will attend, it just comes down to trusting God.
I Hope this explains it a little. Five years ago we had it at a church camp ground. Now we have it at a friends house that has a great set up for a stage, sound, etc. We bring in a port-a-pottie or two, allow people to camp out a night or two, and grill out their own food, etc. We will have a few campfires going in the evening if people want to roast hot dogs, etc....... Much of this years is still in the planning stages. I'd appreciate at least your prayers for us and the Fest if you don't attend, If you do great! God Bless, Hope this helped explain what PraiseFest is.

"I want to thank you for letting me and my family be a part of such a wonderful event. I enjoyed all the music so much, and meeting fellow Christians was so great. Kay and her husband are very blessed with such a great place and the kindness to give it up for all of us for the weekend was amazing. Speaking of amazing, I loved your version of Amazing Grace, it was a sweet twist to an old favorite. I could go on and on about the greatness of the weekend, but lets give the best and biggest praise to God our father! Thank you Lord for the GREAT weather, friends, Place to gather, and great worship bands. You have truely blessed us all with your gifts and presence this weekend and always. God be Praised!!!"

We thought you would be blessed to read a Bible-based research article on Where is God When Tragedy Strikes?
Due to a MySpace software update you cannot simply copy and paste the URL.
However, if you type in TruthOrTradition. com into your address bar and then add /tragedy on the end, you can go straight to the article without getting the off-site warning.
Please note: You will not be asked to provide a password or any other information.
