Aron Garceau: Guitar, vocals, biting sarcasm Iain Mac Harg: Bagpipes, flute, whistle, wicked fast fingers Willa Davie: Bagpipes, whistle, common sense Andy Smith: Bass, a great set of legs Caleb Bronz: Drums, boyish charm
Originally started in 1995 as the band Whisky Before Breakfast by 6 college friends, Prydein has been playing the Highland Game and Celtic Festival circuit for the better part of a decade in one form or another. The two original members, Aron Garceau (guitar, vocals) and Iain Mac Harg (bagpipes, flute) have been friends the entire time and usually break the band up for months or years at a time when the band gets in the way of that friendship.
Now Prydein is back and it's fully loaded. Aron and Iain have been joined by bassist Andy Smith (Mighty Sam McLain Band, Jazzmosis), drummer Caleb Bronz (Gordon Stone Trio, Mighty Sam McLain Band) and highland piper Willa Davie (that's right, two pipers baby). They went into the studio this past spring to put down on plastic 6 years worth of music that'd been festering inside of their heads. The result was their new album, Loud Pipes (save lives) and It'll knock your socks off. If you're in a hurry and don't want to wait to get it in the mail, you can order it through iTunes.
Check out the calendar to find out when you can see them live.
Maine is gearing up for our incredible doubly whammy - Prydein and the Tannahill Weavers! (Couldn't get much better than that!)Can't wait to see you guys!
Yeah, I tend to play with wigs and have fun. My hair as you can see is pretty short, and it just won't grow fast enough...So yeah, this is the comfy chair girl you saw. :D
Thanks for the Add! found you guys through Nintch's list of four friends. haha. guys sound great, hope to play with you guys sometime in the near future. All the Best.
Yes, I finally have upgraded to an almost new computer and internet service that doesn't crash on most Myspace pages. :-) Still not sure which was the problem, tho', maybe the combination. Even when it didn't crash music was impossible to play so what was the point? I mean what else really matters? heehee So I'm finally here!
Hey Guys... Cant wait to see you tonight in St. Albans...Look for some pink hair...Cause I have a favor to ask of you guys on the behave of my dad...If you dont find me...I am sure ill find you guys.
You guys are amazing...wish i could see you play more often!!
Hi Aron, I was going to come up and say hello(this was after I picked up one of your CD's and your t-shirts) but you all looked kinda busy packing up your instruments and equipment...and I'm a somewhat shy person anyhow lol. But I will definitely come say hi if I can make it to the show at the Big E. I will try to make it for sure. :-)
Hi Guys, I saw you perform today at the Highland Games in Greenfield. You all sounded grand! I was glad to make the trip from Pittsfield out here. A pleasant drive with a great sounding band made for an excellent end to my day. I enjoyed it so much that I think I just may come see you perform in Springfield at the Big E lol. And before I left I made sure I picked up a cd and t-shirt :-D. Again, great job! :-)
Hey guys! Good ol' me in Germany, yet so far from home! Is it wrong that I just sit around, drinking whiskey, and rocking out to your tunes? It just seems so fitting. Hopefully ya'll are still doing shows next summer, because that's the soonest I'm getting home. Take care.
Doesn't all that maple at the maple festival make yhour fingers stick together so you can't play? Sorry, I'll miss you (I'm booked elsewhere), but we'll catch up at some festival or other! Have a great show on Saturday- I heard that the snow has melted in St. Albans!
