RELEASES'S
brainlove two thousand and ace cd compilation (2008)
brainlove records
1 minute song on floppy disc released by colour ride
(limited 50 copies)(2008) colour ride
"This is very good. And very strange. It’s very good in a very strange way. After all, a typical song features a man shouting that his name is “Beef Egg” and demanding a, ahem, ‘fish lady’ marry him. This touching tale is then augmented with a series of glitchy synths and various other noises that are hard to attribute to anything. Under normal circumstances the typical listener may find this explosion of odd difficult to stomach. Yet, given its position as the the final track on, and this is a huge understatement, a truly bizarre EP, the audience will be by now well versed in Pseudo Nippon’s Casio craziness. From the screamed snatches of English/Japanese/Italian/Godknowswhatelse of opener Constellation Jebbubu to the manic 80s videogame stylings of Beef Egg Revenge, Edamame Freakout is, at the very least, not boring.
