Punisher Are A Four Piece Thrash Metal Band From Derby, Who Formed In Late 2006. Punisher Take influence from countless bands and genres including thrash, groove metal, black/death metal, progressive metal (the list goes on...) and fuse these sounds together to form what they call Scrap Metal
Punisher Began After Ex Dreadnought Members Chris “Star Wars” Whitehurst and Gavin Archer Decided it was time to stop Fucking around and start a Metal band that sounded how they wanted it to! They got in touch with an old friend Jonny Barker whom they had been meaning to jam with for years. After 1 or 2 jamming sessions decided to find a drummer.
After months of searching they found Rich Hughes, after jamming with Rich the Band Decided He was Perfect! That Was the Birth of Punisher…
After Months of Rehearsing Punisher Crashed on to Derby’s Metal Scene making their Debut at A metal all-dayer at the Victoria Inn in Derby! After a number of shows in Derby Punisher had their very First Headlining slot! At Derby’s First Floor Club, with support from Northern Thrash Metalers Sworn Amongst!!
Punisher's first year has seen the band record a six track demo and play up and down the UK with great receptions from city to city. Mid 2008 has seen the departure of original bass player Gavin Archer for personal reasons. This was a blow for the band, however through auditions the remaining members were able to find new bass player Tom Lee
The remainder of 2008 holds more gigs around the country for the band as well as further recording and releases. The new merchandise line is also on its way!

We have been gettin' footage of us in the studio recording our EP, practices, most of our gigs and some just out right randomness. we're gonna put all the footage we have onto a DVD, so you guys can watch in horror at all the things PUNISHER get up to in their spare time! (Mostly Drinking....)

It has been already some time ago since i greeted the CD of PUNISHER from Derby (England) inside my sacred Heavy Metal Halls. But since then this unfortunately much too short disc containing only three tracks has run really hot within my player. "Deathbed Of Bloodshed" serves us with 15 minutes of top-class Metal as we were used to hear from the United Kingdom back in the glorious days. The PUNISHER guys vary their sound between hard driving Power Metal (Rebelution) and classic 80ies British Thrash (Fear The Punisher). Despite it all, they cannot hide their NWOBHM roots mostly due to the vocals of Chris Whitehurst (former Dreadnought) !!! That's what I call original and unique !!! Hopefully, these guys will get the opportunity to release a full-length album and show their talent to the whole Metal scene. If you're in need of sound files now go to www.myspace.com/punisherband.

some news for yous. TMH are through to the Bloodstock Battle Of The Bands FINAL on Saturday the 16th of May at the Rockhouse [formerly First Floor] in Derby!
we are all super excited as it would genuinely be a dream come true for me/us to play bloodstock but the judges decision is of course heavily dependant on how much of a crowd we draw so we really do need your support more than ever *puppy dog eyes*
if you only ever come to one TMH gig then please make this the one. even if rock or metal isnt your thing, please come along anyway and support me and my band because it would honestly mean so much. besides its something different and it would be fun to hang out and get messy!
