PBP started in 1999 with myself (Ryan) as a zine. Then became a distro and soon after a label. I just wanted to document bands that i thought would nver make onto anything. Not because they sucked but because at the time when i started this there was not the resources for it. Even though it was only 7 years ago since this started a lot has changed in the record label world. When I saw a band that i wanted a record by I thought well if i want a record by this band then i need to put one out. So thats what i did. Barb of I OBJECT helped out for many years running PBP. She just stepped down over the past year. Her help kept this label going for alot of the time. After she left doing the label alone just seemed like way too much. So my friend Claire has now stepped into lend a hand. I hope the label can keep going for many more years. We have some great records coming out in the next couple months. Doing this can be very hard at times, but the bands that we help make it all worthwhile. SUPPORT DIY HARDCORE PUNK.

Hut Ab geht in die 3. Runde
Lieber Freund und Besucher unseres Kleinkunstwohnzimmers,
das war nun auch die 2. Runde der Veranstaltung “Hut Ab“. Das gemütliche Ambiente lud ein weiteres mal zum verweilen, zuhören und genießen ein. Annika Hein und Band überraschte das Publikum mit einer vielseitigen multiinstrumentalen Performance. Mit leisen Tönen verzückte uns Dana Shanti und ließ uns den lauten Alltag vergessen. Last but not least, Sid der Liedermacher zauberte mit gesungem Wort und Witz allen ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Nicht zu vergessen die Leckerein von unserem buchhaltenden Chefkoch Rudi. Es war wieder ein schöner runder Abend. Wie immer gilt ein ganz besonderer Dank an die Künstler und die vielen fleißigen Helfer.
Hoffentlich bis zum 06.11.09, wenn es wieder heißt „Hut Ab“ im ORWOhaus.
