Sup' punk rockers!? Minor Authority is a no bullshit punk rock band dedicated to producing music meant to be the soundtrack to rebellion and a rockin' good time! Originally formed in 2004 by Nate Harris and Steve Kilcrease, it started only as a small rock n' roll party. But in early 07' things began to take off. While collaborating with Chris Barber of SPIV and Ian Gilchrist (Recording Guru at the Church of Rock and Roll) the idea of recording a small EP to promote Minor Authority as a new aspiring band in the punk underground turned into a definite plan. After about three months of recording with drumming mastermind Jim Messina and a bit of discussion between Nate and Chris, what was intended to be a small EP turned into the demo "DEMO-Lition" that included tracks coming from the full-length album that is now in production. Then in early 2008, Nate met bassist Matt Swedenburg and later, guitarist Jason Harding. Within the first few weeks of them being together as a band their chemistry became obvious. They were then joined by Aaron Graves who heroically came to the last minute rescue before their first gig to replace their injured drummer Bonus. He ended up leaving the band for his metal roots and Kyle Damato stepped in to play for the guys at the Gothic Theatre with the CASUALTIES and TIME AGAIN! A huge accomplishment and honor for only their fourth show! With the momentum from the rockin gig the guys have decided to finish writing the full-length and come out swinging when they play live again. What's for sure is that no matter what, Minor Authority will still be skankin' and moshin' with you untill the day the mushroom cloud ends us all.
