Python is a trio based in Rostov-on-Don (Russia). It was formed in 1998. Members are Yura Kolomiytsev,Alexei Samotarev (aka DJ Samotarev) and Eugeniy Litovchenko.
At first, the project worked in house and break beat styles, their tracks appeared on many Russian compilations.Since 2002, the Python project has moved into Tech-House, Progressive, and Electro, and by 2004 they released their first album "DeePressure"
In the 2006 they signed some tracks at Climax, Xeton and Neuroscience labels and it was the beginning of fast developing career. Tracks of Python project were supported and get positive feedbacks from such DJs as Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Andy Moor, Flash Brothers, Sasha, Nick Warren, Matt Darey, Lisa Lashes, Moshic, Christian Cambas, Chris Micali, Eric Entrena, Joel Armstrong, Matt Rowan, Mike Hiratzka, Gabi Newman,D-phrag, Nicholas van Orton, Dean Facer, Dom Kane,Eelke Kleijn, DJ Tarkan, Chloe Harris, Cid Inc (Mashtronic), Nosmo & Kris B, Noel Sanger, Miika Kuisma, Luke Porter, Sasha Le Monnier, Miss Nine, Miss Napalm, Darin Epsilon and many more.

In 2006 they started label called Carica Records. Main aim of this label is to release quality progressive music from different parts of the world. Also Carica had expanded to 3 sublabels Carica Revelation, Carica Limited and Carica Deep, focused on releasing trance, electro, tech house and techno music. Their label got support from Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Markus Shultz, Hernan Cattaneo, Flash Brothers, Andy Moor, Andrew K, Slacker,Mystic Force, Airbase, Kaya & Albert, Ronski Speed, D-phrag, Nicholas Van Orton, Snake Sedrick, DJ Tarkan, Noel Sanger,Suzy Solar, Eric Entrena, Christian Cambas, Miika Kuisma, Deviant, Yves Eaux, Eelke Kleijn and more.
Python also host some radio shows at different radios, among them Wild Nature show at famous radio Frisky and Confusion co-hosted with Samy Fresh on ETN FM. Also Russian Desert on DI FM (www.di.fm) and Carica radio show on Proton Radio. Also Opposite Force @ Pure FM (USA) (the main feature of this show is that guest are girls DJs only!!!),Russian Spices @ Dance Radio (Greece), Frozen Dreams on enSonic FM (Germany) and Carica Nights which is rebroadcasting on different online radios all over the world.

Also Python is making regular podcast for Frisky Radio named From Russia With Beats. The main aim of it is to show russian music to the world.
During the 2008 – 2009 Python worked much on remixing different tunes for Polytechnic Recordings for such producers as Derek Howell, Overcast, Josel, Bitfiend and Samy Fresh just to name a few. Also they done remixes for Jetlag Digital, Swordtail, Real Deep, Pure Substance, System and of course for their own Carica Records. Also their track Highway was shortlisted by a Nick Warren for his “Lima” compilation on GU.
Nowadays Python is working also with such labels as Segment, Composure, Bellarine, Monad Music, Proton Particles, Behold, Mistique Music, Ascension and the list goes on.
