QuadQuartet is a portuguese saxophone quartet, formed in mid 2004, with the purpose of playing good music, original or not, for this ensemble, and create the possibility of have new composers writing for them, with a particular interest in the cross-over of different musical languages. It has, since then, played in Portugal, Spain and Holland. Is members are João Figueiredo in soprano sax, Fernando Ramos in alto sax, Henrique Portovedo in tenor sax and Romeu Costa in baritone sax. Besides the artistical work they develop ensemble, each one of them plays in other projects, and are active teachers in several schools throughout the north of the country.

Just put a new short piece available at my podcast. It's an arrangement of a children's song called "A Canção dos Abraços" ("The Hugs Song"), composed by Sérgio Godinho for a TV show from my childhood.
My arrangement was a request from my sister for a party at my nieces kindergarden. Seems childish? Check it out here.
