You are currently tuned in to the sounds of UK-based producer Quantum Soul.
I have been producing in varying degrees for over ten years, and have experimented with producing many styles of music including: fusions of dub, jazz, hip hop, funk, drum and bass and more recently, dubstep . All have helped me to get where I am and I'm finally feeling that my music is reaching a professional level. My main influences production-wise are dub and drum and bass as they are, for me, the richest and deepest styles of music on the planet!! I have always sought to maintain a 'worldly' flavour to my tunes, meaning that they fit into the continuum of music as handed down from the primal beat of the very first drum. This is because I believe musicality is a primal force which serves both an individually liberating, and a socially cohesive, function.
I am predominantly producing dubstep at present, as I find it an open genre which blends many of the things I love about music: techy dark synths, ambient textures, chunky spaced-out beats and above all, the mystical potential seems limitless. With releases on 'Ranking Records' and 'It's A Dubting' things are looking good for 2008!!!
