Quintessence of Versatility est fondé fin 2008 et trouve un line-up stable début 2009. Sensible aux sonorités de la vague Deathcore actuelle et de sa monotonie, voir de son apparente facilité, le groupe décide de se lancer dans une tentative musicale dont le but est de transcender ce genre musicale et d'en ouvrir les barrières en y associant des éléments divers, voir insolites. Constitué de musiciens expérimentés dans l'univers de la scène métal et aux influences complètement différentes, Quintessence of Versatility livre une musique Metal lourde, rapide, et puissante. Axés sur une base Deathcore. Le groupe enrichi sa musique de tonalités Black Metal, Grindcore et Slamming Death Metal, en y associant des structures venues de rencontres entre Mathcore, Postcore et Metal Progressif. Bien décidés à se lancer dans l'originalité contre l'hégémonie du Deathcore Américain dans la scène métal, le groupe se forge un style musical qu'ils nomment Post-Deathcore, nom explicite montrant la volonté d'appartenance au mouvement Deathcore, mais aussi celle de marquer et d'imposer sa différence, quitte à désorienter voir à déplaire aux suiveurs fanatiques du mouvement Les Paroles des morceaux font référence à la complexité des conflits internes à l'esprit humain, cela en rapport avec un monde et une société hyprocrite, dénuée de toute morale, voir parfois, dénuée de toute humanité. ____________________________________ Quintessence of Versatility was founded in late 2008 and found a stable line-up early 2009. Sensitive to sounds of the current Deathcore wave and it's relative monotony, the group decided to embark on an musical attempt whose aim is to transcend the genre and to open it's barriers in combining it with elements different, or even quirky. Comprised of experienced musicians in the world of the metal scene and with completely different influences, Quintessence of Versatility play an Heavy Metal music, fast and powerful.Focusing on a Deathcore base, the band expanded its music tone with Black Metal, Grindcore and Slamming Death Metal , involving structures came from meetings between Mathcore, Progressive Metal and Postcore. Determined to get into the originality against the hegemony of American Deathcore in the metal scene, the band forged a musical style they called Post-Deathcore, this explicit name displays the will to belong to the Deathcore movement but also the will to mark and impose its difference, even if it can disorient or displease the fanatical followers of the movement. After 8 months of compositions, Quintessence of Versatility decides to record his first studio opus. This opus reflects the beginnings of the band and is only a start to an album in way of composition.
