Paula Jean Brown

Please join us for an evening of acoustic music with eclectic singer-songwriter Paula Jean Brown. Perhaps best known for her contributions as a member of the Tucson-based band, Giant Sand, Paula also wrote the Belinda Carlisle Platinum hit Mad About You, and has toured as bassist with The Go Go’s, Sparklehorse and The Steve Wynn Band. She played in Tucson and Los Angeles with her own band with friends John Convertino and Joey Burns of Giant Sand and Calexico. With Songs that portray a wide range of influence from melodic pop to the occasional distortion of Giant Sand, and overtones of Nick Drake, Her music has been called expansive, lyrical, and haunting ... come and listen!.
