Rain the Shining is an indie rock band with too many influences to begin to acknowledge. The band is made up of Ryan Smith, Mike Van Meter, Jonny Bylsma, and Jonathan Anspach. Together, they write songs that they enjoy playing, and hope others will enjoy listening. The band itself has a long history, but it is the general consensus of the band as well as the general public that they are sounding the best they have had in the 3 years together. Truth be told, Mike and Ryan are veterans of the band but Jonny was sent by the heavens above to weave his silk among the rough fabric that was Rain the Shining. The latest addition of the band is Jonathan Anspach. With years of playing hardcore (nice!) under his belt, he's ready to step up to the smooth sounds of RtS.
