Rain the Shining is an indie rock band with too many influences to begin to acknowledge.
The band is made up of Ryan Smith, Mike Van Meter, Jonny Bylsma, and Jonathan Anspach. Together, they write songs that they enjoy playing, and hope others will enjoy listening.
The band itself has a long history, but it is the general consensus of the band as well as the general public that they are sounding the best they have had in the 3 years together. Truth be told, Mike and Ryan are veterans of the band but Jonny was sent by the heavens above to weave his silk among the rough fabric that was Rain the Shining. The latest addition of the band is Jonathan Anspach. With years of playing hardcore (nice!) under his belt, he's ready to step up to the smooth sounds of RtS.

Hey ryan and band, ive got to let you all know this! my own personal little 'rain the shining' story haha since you guys dont get the credit you deserve
i first listened to 'a sudden burst of red' a little over two years ago back when you first came out with it! i have no idea how i even ventured on your page but i bought the cd and fell in love with the 4 songs
i know ALL the words to all 4 on that cd and have listened to them soooo many times
ive turned so many people on to your music down here in florida, ill try harder but to everyone i made listen they've loved it!
our bass player is a huge fan now his favorite is 'from point a'
you guys should have waaaaaaaay more fans because those songs are very origional and sooo fantastic, you may think you're a small band, but you're now a top favorite to me!
just had to let you all know this since things look pretty slow over there!
