Whether performing as an acoustic blues/gospel trio or as an electric blues band Ramon Goose strives to bring both sophistication and soul to his music.
The Ramon Goose Band has been performing in venues and festivals across the UK and Europe to great acclaim. What you will hear is dazzling guitar playing and a kick ass band performing hard hitting Texas Blues to sophisticated Uptown Jazzy Blues and everything in between. They have just completed a national tour of France (which included four maximum security prisons!!!) to road test new material for the “Uptown Shuffle” album out later this year.
Ramon Goose has been described as the “British Ry Cooder” and has paid his dues to earn such a title: working as a sideman to greats such as Eric Bibb & Pee Wee Ellis, producing /co-writing the acclaimed “Drew,Mississippi” album with Mississippi born Bluesman Boo Boo Davis and also fusing modern sounds with the ground breaking and very successful Nublues project. Currently Ramon is working on a side project/album with Diabel Cissokho from Senegal (noted for his Kora playing with West African superstar Baaba Mal).

Ramon Goose né à Colchester en Angleterre est un artiste étonnant, aussi à l’aise sur des morceaux rappelant "G Love And Special Sauce" que dans des improvisations "Stevie Ray Vaughanienne". Ramon Goose fait partie de cette jeune génération d’artistes accomplis, novateurs, aux talents multiples (guitariste virtuose, producteur,compositeur).
Très vite repéré avec son groupe NU BLUES - blues roots et hip hop- Ramon a su montré à travers ce projet ses aptitudes de producteur, compositeur et de guitariste exceptionnel.
En effet, Chris Thomas King a senti dans l’album « Dreamnlands of a Bluesman » l’essence d’un blues moderne, nouveau, complètement encré dans notre époque contemporaine.
Il s’en est suivit fort logiquement une signature sur les labels DIXIEFROG pour l’Europe, 21thCentury Blues Records pour les USA et 10 000 exemplaires de l’album vendus de part le monde.
Dès lors Ramon Goose s’est vu offrir la possibilité de tourner ces dernières années avec quelques références de la musique telles qu’ERIC BURDON, THE BLIND BOYS OF ALABAMA, PEE WEE ELLIS, ERIC BIBB…, tous ont vu en ce jeune musicien un artiste d’avenir.
Fort d’une expérience musicale solide, reconnue par les professionnels de la musique, Ramon s’est emplBoyé dernièrement à produire et co réaliser les albums de Boo oo Davis, « Drew Mississipi », bijou de compositions de blues du delta, de beats hip hop accrocheurs, ainsi que de Billy Jones, tous deux artistes signés chez Black& Tan Records.
Actuellement concentré sur son nouveau projet qu’est le RAMON GOOSE BAND, le jeune prodige revient à une formule classique s’il en est une dans l’histoire du blues, du rock : le trio ou Power Trio.
Associé à AKOS HASZNOS à la basse, et à PAUL FRANCIS à la batterie, Ramon Goose montre la palette large, complète, du blues qu’il aime jouer : harmonieux mélange d’influences de blues originel, typiquement rural, et de beats et sons urbains, modernes.

Frogwomen’s last album is just water under the bridge and only the disrespectful de large could encourage him to create a new one… it is a one-song record which symbolically lasts 66. 6 minutes. Satan worshipping, an overused topic in pop music is just the straw that allowed the struggle between the two artists to begin: a patchwork of microsongs in which each one of them tries to annihilate the other’s style, a record that ranges between love ditties, doom-noise cants, and irreverent & wild tarantellas (ehm.... maybe i’m overstating now). .
