Ram-Z Music was born in 1991 under the name Village Music II. Since its birth both Village Music and Village Music II buy a lot of items together to lock in the best prices. This better discount is then conveyed to the end consumer to not only allow for convenience in location, but to also deliver competitive pricing. It also allows us to offer many different brands, and gives us access to brands that we normally would be locked out of. The owners of Village Music(The Blattners) and the Ramseys many years ago were neighbors and knew each other even prior. Tony Ramsey began teaching strings for the Zionsville store and soon after, this co-op was born.
Cruise Control, composed of former KrestFallen members, played a decent show despite being unable to hear the keyboards. The overall sound quality was fair.
Tony Ramsey - Four stars out of five.
Tony Ramsey played a very good show depite some sound problems. The years of practice and show experience clearly showed in his performance. I throughly enjoyed myself.
Chasing Canadia - Two stars out of five.
In all my time going to these local shows, Chasing Canadia has never ceased to disappoint. Ram-Z Fest was their first open air show that I've been able to make, but I don't think any change in setting could make me enjoy them.
Desguise Your Eyes - Four stars out of five.
Desguise Your Eyes was by far one of the most awaited, and best, performances at Ram-Z Fest 2008. The group of boys put on a wonderful first performance. Despite some diffculties with the vocal volume, as well as an issue with the drums, the band stole the show.
Afterglow - Two and a half stars out of five.
In all honesty, I didn't hear much of Afterglow. I've heard them a few times before and wasn't very keen on seeing them again. Most of the Disguise Your Eyes crowd seemed to agree, leaving only a handfull of people. An overall Ok performance.
Arcane Existence - Four and a half stars out of five.
Arcane Existence, formerly Arm us All, has always been a personal favorite of mine. Despite a change in vocalists the band put on an excellent performance. The usual chant of "This is More" was the warm up selection in classic Arm Us All style. The vocals overpowered everything, leading to my 4.5 star decision.
Ram-Z Fest 2008 was, in my mind, a good show. I enjoyed myself and I plan to attent next year.
Hey Tony. Not sure what my mom was so excited about actually. haha. I've been doing good. Trying to finish up some good recordings to show the world...also trying to find some good places to play in Indy. Got any suggestions?
