I sing. I write songs. I play guitar. I'm a native New Yorker. I established myself as singer, songwriter and guitarist for 10 year New York indie rock veterans, The Nerve. I've had some great experiences with this band. I played CMJ, got signed to Heyday Records (The Church, Marty Willson-Piper, The Surfaris, Tommy Tutone, David J), and toured Europe with Bumblefoot (Guns N' Roses). That band is now defunct as of December 16th, 2006.
I'm now doing the solo thing and having the time of my life. I'm totally immersing myself in the New York scene, singing and playing just an acoustic guitar and harmonica at various bars, cafes and cabarets all over town and out of town. I'm also a busker and you can catch me on any given day playing underground in the New York City subway system.
I am a two time recipient of the Broken Wing Foundation grant for artists (2007, 2008), and just recently received a grant from the Anna Sosenko Trust. I'm very excited to announce that I just released my first solo album. The album is entitled "Give" and was produced by Hugh Pool, known for his work with Patti Smith, Rufus Wainwright, and blues legend Hubert Sumlin. Once again I'm working with Heyday Records. Four of the new songs are offered here gratis. You can get the complete 12 song CD or download it at www.randystern.info and at DigStation - Indie Music Downloads

I still need to talk to you about some things, so let get together for sure!? Raine
