From the smooth jazz feel of “My Favorite Soprano” to the standard issue rock balada vibes of “Gadis Jalanan” and "Matahari" 's funky undertones, Rashdan is constantly exploring different routes and genres in approaching his music.
A recent mainstay in the local acoustic indie circuit, Rashdan’s blend of pop, soul, funk and the blues has earned him thumbs up amongst local music fans. Appearing at shows such as the Bedroom Musician Series, Doppelganger, Live at No Black Tie, Moonshine, Urbanscapes and Fete De La Musique. Rashdan’s been a name to look out for. Rashdan believes that his songs tell a story and should be interpreted by everyone who listens to it in their own unique way. As they say, the best story is often your own.
Fresh off performing at the first Voize Independent Music Awards, he’s currently finalising his EP with the Rashdan Harith Band, talented musicians that solidify his groovy, heartfelt sound. The first is “Matahari”.
Seeing that the Rashdan Harith band has disbanded, he will be going bakc to his roots and will be focusing on his trusty acoustic guitar. however, if needed he is supported by Kevin Theng on drums and Zaim Zaidee on bass when necessary.
