  • Sounds Like

'..like Enio Morricone galloping through the brooding grandeur of the Nordic forests with a trusty cello as sword and emblem. Compelling stuff'. fROOTS magazine..................................... 'Destined to become a classic of the genre' Folkworks.......................... 'A history beautifully told...... this album shows off his credentials as a great lead vocalist, telling his tales with gusto and warmth...... Gorgeously produced and packaged, 'Tales of Love …' does what it says on the tin, perfectly'. Boff Whalley (Chumbawamba)................................ 'Cooper's knack for evoking atmosphere – from the tranquillity of an English pastoral scene to the desolation and loneliness of the Arctic – made this a compelling and enthralling evening.' Oxford Times (live review from The Holywell Room) ................................................ 'There is a darkness that permeates through the album, not unexpected considering the title, though it's not the oppressive darkness brought about by despair, more the darkness that draws people together so that they can share the light and warmth that they have and tell the tales that brought them there'. Fatea........................................... Bästa spår: The Grey Goose Wing. Sudsvenskan.......................................... I was there. The last concert on the tour: Gimle, Roskilde, Denmark.. A crowd adding up to around 17 people  is actually not bad at all! First of all, quality is better than quantity, as we all know. And seen from my perspective, it was a perfect concert. A nice table all to myself, no disturbance from chattering people or mobile phones. Great music, room for concentration/contemplation. I hope, you will return one day to an overbooked concert! :-)

Hi Annie and thanks, I would love to come to Belgium one day. I often perform solo with no mikes, the nearest to you is May 6th in Kloster Frensweggen near Nordhorn in Germany. The details are here on this site somewhere. Glad you like my music.

Hi Ray, just wanted to let you know that I was totally blown away by your CD, which I bought after the gig in Meise (Belgium) last week. The music is so pure and beautiful! I would love to hear you perform it live. If you ever come to Belgium with your music, I'll be there (and I promise not to complain about the music volume ;-) All the best, Annie.
