Re:connected is back after a short little summer break with a brand new fresh 12" from a very promising up and coming Copenhagen based producer named, Andreas Jørnvil. His previous releases and remixes on labels like Comfortable Records and Opossum caught the attention of and was played by big shot DJ's such as Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and Anja Schneider. We are very proud to introduce him as a new member of the growing Re:connected family. He delivers a smashing 2 tracks as his debut release on our label. The 12" starts out with a track called: "Abekatten" (a funny world for monkey in danish). "Abekatten" is a wild deep house groove with a jungle like feeling. The track takes your through deep conga driven beats, monkey screams, tropical climate, heavy drum layers and epic tribal chants, all in a long deep hypnotizing groove. This track has definitely been a highlight in label boss, Martinez set's through out the summer, a must have for every DJ that likes a bit more housey and organic grooves! On the b-side we find a more subtle and minimalistic track called "Porta". With a slightly dark feeling to this track it reminds me a bit of the finest moment on Richie Hawtin's M_nus imprint. The track has a slow wobbly sub bass which is rolling on top of the tight snare drum driven rhythm. During the playtime metallic noise and pitched down voice enters in and out over this quite spooky minimal piece and at the middle a strong filtered acid'ish baseline takes over the track and make it a perfect tool for the peak time of the club night!
