REVIEWS:
"Ooh, it's so shiny and colourful. American indie rock/electro kids Redflecks toured the country from March to April. And their sound reminds me alot of Canadian dance-punks "You say party! We say die!". Throw in some karen o, some strokes, some blondie, vocalist amy's own sultry flair, some deep bass lines, a bag full of smarties, and you've got an idea. Shiny happy people!" -YL of Blunt Magazine
"...Fatal Devotion" sounds like a female-fronted Interpol, but replaces that band's flatlined delivery with Amy's elastic Karen-O vocals and a surprisingly limber arrangement. Electronic elements — robotic handclaps and overdriven drum machines — are kept to a kitsch-less minimum, and the band's slow-burning melodies twist and turn in spooky and strangely catchy ways." The Rage - July 2008 by Dave Paulson
“…A female fronted rock influx…if Blondie and The Strokes were to have a sonic lovechild, it would sound like this band…” Lafayette Alternative Press
“... This band, half of which is female, play a fun version of indie rock, alternative with lots of 80’s new wave and post-punk influences.” Llyod Harp of UpriseZine Magazine
“…like nothing on the scene today…progressive, experimental, eclectic, retro and yes even pop all rolled into one...my favorite band.” Moe, promoter @ The Note Worthy
““Hey Da Da Da Da” is a real party track with Blondie-esque vocals and swirling, fuzzy guitars over dance-ready beats.” CMJ -Sept 3rd 2007 New Music Report Spotlight
“Polished...the result of performing together since 2005. Lead singer Amy has an accomplished voice and her cohorts do a fine line in supporting her with solid bass, keys and lead backing…some angst, some anger, some moody and dreamy Stereolab-ish groove” Levi’s Original Music Magazine (South Africa) by Travis Lyle
“…Redflecks who really stole the show for me. So much energy and stage presence combined with great songs really got the crowd into the party mood. We are sad that Redflecks are back in the USA but so glad we got to watch them perform!” Review from Electrotrash.co.za
“Magnetic rock and pop combined to create non-conformist sounds that will undoubtedly attract many listeners“ Truth Magazine review
“I looked them up on Myspace and after validating that I wouldn’t be making an embarrassment of myself, I dragged my ‘sound engineer/hip-hop producing/musical snob’ housemates out to support. We didn’t really expect what we saw and heard that night. We were in awe of everything about this Nashville-based band, but mostly by how much they convinced us. They stood on stage and believed that what they were giving us was worthy. The conversations came to a complete halt and it was like that for the rest of the assembled crowd as well - people were actually paying attention to this band” Live gig review @ The Annex, NYC by freelance writer, Tamsyn ten Krooden
