during the last months we got asked many times when we're going to release our new record and when we're going to start touring again, so we would like to put our cards on the table:
Our new record is finished since half a year, but we didn't succeed in finding the right partner to hold the physical release as promised with April 2009.
But we are not breaking our promise!
For us, it is the right time to say:
”Fuck it! Let's take it easy and take everything in our own hands! This growing short-term nature of the music industry does not match up with the real idea we have started our band! It is the music as an art that motivates movements, as a way to live our friendship and as an opportunity to hit the stage, which should never become routine! We want to be creative but without boundaries!”
So we want to offer you (and not the industry) all we have: The best songs we have ever written and produced. 15 brandnew songs will be featured one by one starting with our new video for the song “Cities Burn” until the date of our physical release on October 30th, 2009. There will be a live presentation of the new album in November too that we also will organize by ourselves - no need to ask, we will tell you right in time ;-)
Thank you and enjoy! See you later!
Yours: Christian, Christoph, Werner and Constantin
Band History
This permanent four-piece from the heart of Europe started off as a punk/hardcore band in 1997 and released their debut album "Stop When..." on the Vienna-based punk label Remedy Records, followed by first touring experiences. With "And Time Goes By", the second full-length in 2002, the band gained the opportunity to release on Householdname Records of London, leading to more touring highlighted by a really successful Anti Flag Europe Tour Support in 2003. As a pleasant result they got sensationally signed by the Anti Flag owned Label A-F Records from Pittsburgh, P.A., USA in 2004 and released their third full-length album “Free” which is still getting consistently terrific response, so it also was licensed in South America by Enemy One Records, Sao Paulo in 2006. Until this day, Red Lights Flash played more than 600 shows all over Europe, including prosperous tour supports for Rise Against, Alexisonfire, Anti Flag and Strike Anywhere as well as headlining tours in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Austria.
