Influences70's based Hard Rock -

Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, The Black Crowes, Audioslave, Incubus

Sounds Like70's based Hard Rock band with modern-day influences; imagine Led Zeppelin playing with Incubus, Janis Joplin singing with Audioslave, The Black Crowes drinking with Guns'N'Roses. Energetic, attitude-fueled, passion-driven music with an old school sound.

Here's what some of the press had to say about Remedy:

"A real kick-ass affair”
ROCK SOUND MAGAZINE
Photobucket

“This six-track EP certainly underlines the fact that the young quartet have the right attitude, commitment and sheer musical nous to make an impact. A formidable band.”
CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE
Photobucket

"Remedy have the best of both worlds: a great hard rock band, powerful, hooky songs and an infectious voice that combines the best of the female voice with a rock edge."
METAL HAMMER MAGAZINE
Photobucket

“Remedy present a powerful, soulful bluesy sound and there is no doubt that Cherene can belt out a tune. With not a bad track on the EP, it’s a good indication of how formidable they’ll be.”
POWERPLAY MAGAZINE
Photobucket

“Their fresh yet unique sound AND ability to write great songs, promises to have you hooked! Watch out for Remedy, the best rock band I've heard in a long time.”
SANDMAN MAGAZINE

Photobucket

“Remedy plays everything you ever loved about 60’s and 70’s rock music, brought up to date and refreshed with some modern day influences.. 6 tracks that are hard hitting and won’t fail to grab your attention.”
FIREWORKS MAGAZINE

Photobucket

“A cool blend of classic rock guitars on top of passion fuelled drum beats and strong female wails, I can only imagine what an intense rock n roll show these guys and a girl would put on.”
FAT-WROK MAGAZINE

Photobucket

"'Strange Fast Now' continues to showcase this young band as one of the most exciting and original unsigned classic rock acts in the world today. Vocally, musically and lyrically - this is as good as it gets. PERIOD."
KOMODO ROCK EP REVIEW

“Genuinely plying their trade for the sheer love of it, Remedy look dangerously like they may have all the key components in the palm of their hands.”
ROOM THIRTEEN

Photobucket

“This North East four piece remain on the list titled ‘future stars’, if not then we’re going to eat our Slash-alike hat and wonder exactly what a band has to do these days to gain widespread recognition and global fame. Strange Fast Now doesn’t tell the whole story but check out Jen and her guys live and you’ll start to get the idea.”
RUSH ON ROCK.COM

“Remedy is what the rock music scene needs. A cure for the overly diluted sub-genres of rock. They are classic in sound and modern in power. Their intent and purpose is timeless.”
MR&MRS NUTTER PROMOTIONS

“Remedy have done well and come up with a really strong sounding 6 track EP, all the sounds on the album pack a different style than the last and the variety that’s on offer is what makes Remedy fresh and exciting.”
ALTERNATIVEVISION.CO.UK

Photobucket

“Take the 'authenticity' of the Black Crows or early Guns 'n' Roses add a cracking female vocalist and get ready to rock! The resurgence of classic rock continues.”
GET READY TO ROCK

Photobucket

“There's a strong feminine edge to Jenn's surprisingly clear tone, but it's the strength that envelops your ears. It would come as no great shock if she broke the windows of smaller venues. This is a band with a solar flare of a future in front of them.”
ROCK REALMS

Photobucket

"..One of the best classic rock albums I have EVER heard... in my personal top 5 releases of this year. Unfortunately, even that outstanding album can't hope to capture the power and majesty of this band live... With a presence that is imposable to ignore, [Jen] owns any stage she walks on. Combining the power of Ann Wilson and the wail of Robert Plant with as much soul as Chris Robinson."
KOMODO ROCK LIVE REVIEW

“Soundgarden groin-grunge of Desire, southern-tinged ballad of earthly yearning Midnight Till Morning, the atmospheric mantra to etch into your skin (Sacred Deep Inside), the freedom found in opener Last Demand… A classy proposition, tantalizingly, one with the promise to really branch out into realms of unexpurgated horizons.”
SLEAZEGRINDER

“Remedy expand and explore their songs in depth, creating a noteworthy EP, that proves Remedy have the potential to create some really fantastic music in the future. Music, which this reviewer will be most definitely interested in hearing.”
PENNYBLACK MUSIC

Photobucket

“Remedy are tipped to become one of the big sensations of 2009.”
METAL EXPRESS UK

Photobucket

“Midnight Til Morning has to be my favourite track; a song which I am willing to bet becomes ‘our song’ for many soppy, leather-clad couples out there. Classic rock sounds with more guitar hooks than you could shake a rather long, metal stick at.”
FEMALE FIRST

Photobucket

“Maaaannnn, these guys work hard and they want you to know it!! With passion and integrity, vocalist, Jenn certainly belts out the attitude and energy, so intrinsic to the whole ethos of the band.”
VANGUARD ONLINE

“Feel-good 70's riffs for cruising the middle of nowhere on a Harley, and with all members showing their skills, Remedy is very much a group effort from start to finish.”
ROCK MIDGETS

Photobucket

"Remedy' look and sound AMAZING, these guys musicianship is simply FIRST CLASS - these guys most definitely have the potential to be HUGE!"
KOMODO ROCK

“Big-voiced and confident blues based female fronted melodic old-school hard rock.”
ORGAN ART

Photobucket

“If you want to catch a bloody good rock n roll band, go see Remedy. You WILL enjoy it."
UK BANDS, ROCK & INDIE NEWSLETTER

"...played in a fashion that screams, “we really feel and mean what we’re playing and singing about”, Remedy are a band with all of the right ingredients and if you are looking for a new band with the ability to produce something that can be called the genuine rock article look no further than these guys - and one girl!"
HARD ROCK HOUSE

Photobucket

"Remedy blend in fresh contemporary rock with feisty bluesyness that you’d imagine the likes of Chris Robinson singing."

   About Remedy
Photobucket

Remedy was created out of a love for 70's rock music and a shared disappointment at today's 'disposable' attitude to music and the developing 'flavour of the week' trend. Somewhere along the line we lost the secret to writing music that mattered, music that would be listened to for generations to come - Led Zep, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones. Which bands today last for as long as their heroes?

Remedy intend to go all the way, bringing back to life that which has been lost, the secret formula to timeless rock songs. Taking the best influences from the 60's, 70's and 80's and mixing them with favourites from their own generation, Remedy produce a balanced sound that's fresh, yet somehow wizened.

Each band member brings to the table their own element, vital to the 'whole' creating music that is always changing, experiments with different styles, dynamically hard-hitting, but is recognisably the same rock band through and through.

Welcome to the new era in 'real' rock music, no sub-genres, just pure good ole rock.

Having mastered the trade of 'live performace' on their local covers-band scene, Remedy have played to audeinces, young and old, throughout the North East and Yorkshire area, as well as being frequent performers at numerous Motorbike Rallies and music festivals.

For more than four years now, Remedy have grown as a rock band and while the covers circuit has served them well in performing experience, you can't live your life playing other peoples' songs!

'STRANGE FAST NOW', is Remedy's debut EP, available now!!

As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.

This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!

It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm

As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!
