Rémi Panossian was born in 1983 in Montpellier. He started playing the piano in 1990. Three years later, he discovered the world of jazz music during a Michel Petrucciani concert. In 1998 he started to study at the Montpellier Jazz School, learning musical theory, improvisation and the history of jazz … There he took part in many master classes and met great musical figures such as Stéphane Kochoyan, Steve Coleman and Andy Milne. In July 2000, he played with writer Régine Détembel in the “jazz à Vienne” festival. Rémi then moved to Toulouse to complete his musical training. Two years later, he received a National School of Music Certificate in jazz and Improvised Music and graduated from the Toulouse College of Music. Rémi teaches jazz piano at the "enfants du jazz" workshop, and at the "international bass meeting in Capbreton".
He has released his first album in 2005 with Julien Duthu, and played on famous stages like : Jazz in Marciac, Rhino jazz festival, Jazz sur son 31, Jazz à foix,Tel Aviv, Montreal, le duc des Lombards, La salle Nougaro, le Jam, La fontaine...
He's also played with Rick Margitza,Francesco Bearzatti, Aldo Romano, Damon Brown, Levon Minassian, Pierrick Pedron, Olivier Sens, Guillaume Naturel...NEW ALBUM : 03/31
Né le 7 mars 1983 à Montpellier Rémi Panossian débute le piano en 1990. Trois ans plus tard, il découvre l’univers du jazz en assistant à un concert de Michel Petrucciani. En 1998, il intègre le JAM pour y suivre des cours d’harmonie, d’improvisation et d’histoire du jazz. Au cours des différents stages auxquels il participe, il rencontre des personnalités comme : Stéphane Kochoyan, Steve Coleman, Andy Milne... et se produit en juillet 2000 au festival off de jazz a Vienne aux côtés de l’écrivain Régine Détembel. Rejoignant Toulouse afin d’y poursuivre ses études musicales, Rémi obtient son diplôme d’étude musicale de Jazz et de musiques improvisées et un DEUG de Musicologie. Il enseigne le piano jazz au stage "les enfants du jazz" ainsi qu'aux Rencontres internationales de Capbreton.
En 2005 il sort son premier album "No end..."(Nocturne) en duo avec Julien Duthu.
Rémi s'est produit sur des scènes tels que Jazz in Marciac, Rhino jazz festival, Jazz sur son 31, Jazz à foix,Tel Aviv, Montreal, le duc des Lombards, La salle Nougaro, le Jam, La fontaine...
