Give them their instruments, a glass of red wine, soft lights, a cosy venue with people who want to open their heart and Renze Ferwerda, Freek Dicke and Toni Lameirinhas will inspire the audience with their new theatrical tour.
"Bestemming Lissabon" (Destination Lisboa) wants to tell about being on the road and enjoying the trip. The three musicians make the audience experience the trip while they play Flemish (folk)music, French “chanson” and Spanish Flamenco. Eventually they end in Portugal. Renze Ferwerda sings in Dutch, but he uses different other languages to express his feelings. With his poetic lyrics and natural talent on stage, the audience feels the Portuguese inspiration in its own heart.
The three artists enjoy playing music together, this concert is about much more than just sitting in your seat and listening to music. This concert touches your own longings. Have them over, so they can bring you to Lisboa.

Als geboren Amsterdammer met Friese wortels, ontdekt Ferwerda in 1984 Portugal. Hij leert de taal, reist ontelbare malen naar zijn geliefde land, schrijft er prachtige liedjes en ontdekt Lissabon als bron voor zijn poëtische inspiratie. Terug in Nederland (en België) maakt hij theaterconcerten en cd's van zijn liedjes en komen er muzikanten van over de hele wereld op zijn pad.
Op de cd "Bestemming Lissabon" vinden we naast Renze Ferwerda (Nederland) vocals - composities Freek Dicke (Nederland-Suriname) gitaar - guitarra - vocals - arrangementen -composities; Toni Lameirinhas (Portugal) bas - Portugese fado bas - vocals; Juan Pablo Dobal (Argentinië) piano; Liber Torriente (Cuba) slagwerk -percussie; Henny Langeveld (Nederland) accordeon; Paul Pouwer (Nederland) klankregie - percussie.
Mila Vidal Paletti (Portugal), die de gedichten van Slauerhoff voor Cristina Branco vertaalde, schreef de Portugese vertalingen en het gedicht A menina de Lisboa, dat Ferwerda van muziek voorzag. Fernando Lameirinhas componeerde Lissabon Saudade en de nog onbekende Jack van de Ven componeerde Onderweg.
Want het gaat Renze Ferwerda, Freek Dicke en Toni Lameirinhas niet om bekend of onbekend. Het gaat om kwaliteit, menselijkheid en warmte en dat is te horen op deze cd vol zuidelijke warmte en muzikale invloeden van over de hele wereld. Bestemming Lissabon als metafoor voor een reis naar je diepste verlangen. Met chansons in het Nederlands, Portugees, Frans en een wel heel bijzondere Vlomsen toengval.
