Requiem in Black got it's start in 2005 when two minds got together and formed what you hear today. Heavily influenced by the music in the Gothic scene, the beats and synths were merged to create a unique blend of Electronic Industrial unlike anything else that is currently being produced. Quoted as "one of the best bands to come out of Denver in a long time" Requiem in Black has achieved much success in delivering the whole package. Entertaining and fun to watch along with driving dance beats and sensual vocals make this band fresh, alive, distinctive.

"Revolution Nation" CD REVIEWS!!
"This new US act presents synthpop / darkwave with an unlying mood, and semi-gothic female vocal style. It's danceable, yet relaxed at the same time." ~ Todd Durant, A DIFFERENT DRUM
"We had "post-punk;" now Requiem in Black might be a forerunner of "post-synthpop," where tense electronic music and anthemic themes are matched with melodic, true vocals. "Revolution Nation" is a promising movement towards something different, with tight interplay between Jessie's voice and Aeren's infectious dance-industrial beats. The title track is particularly strong and backed by an interesting concept; "Life" and "Victory" are more pensive, with slower-flowing undercurrents; Assemblage 23's Tom Shear remixes "Captive." ~Carolee, GOTHIC BEAUTY MAGAZINE ISSUE 28
"A lot of the more recent goth and dark electronic music is completely lacking in anything human, but rather than plunge into the EBM morass, Requiem in Black draws on more vital, older influences, girded by vocals that are refreshingly not faux-operatic, but warm and sultry, like those of Alison Moyet." ~ Tom Murphy, WESTWORD
