About me:
We are one of Manchester's premier live music venues hosting regular band nights as well as being home to a wide range of club nights including 'Rock N' Roll Hellkats', 'Falling', 'Refuse To Lose' and 'Up the Racket' to name but a few.
We have recently had a brand new top-of-the-range sound system fitted. Here's the gist: Mackie SA 1530z High Definition Active Cabs, 1400 Watt per side. 2 Wharfdale EVPX ceiling-mounted monitors. 6 Shure SM58 Mics. 1 Samson 500 Watt Sub-Woofer.
IMPORTANT : FOR BANDS SEEKING GIGS
We are very DIY-friendly, open-minded when it comes to music style, and dislike high door prices and the pay-to-play system that unfortunately exists in Manchester.
We actively encourage bands and promoters to put on their own gigs, and have regular promoters who deal with all sorts of genres. Check them out in our top friends - READ THEIR PROFILE FIRST!
HIRING THE VENUE : Send us a message if you wish to hire the venue to put on your own gig or clubnight(100-150 capacity) We are now taking bookings for the rest of 2009.
Upstairs is a traditional English pub with a friendly, attitude-free atmosphere, and a good selection of home-cooked food served from 9am-3pm.
We are open from 9am every morning until 2am Sunday-Thursday and until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays... yes, 3am.
