RETROUNIT saw the light after a few day’s touring in the backseat of a bandwagon when some tired and weary-and slightly tipsy- guys started musing:
“Hey I got these songs…wouldn’t it be great to have lyrics written to them, performed a little bit like some Jeff Buckley and don’t forget Johnny Cash…anyway we are all country-lovers dontcha know”
Well. Maybe not the hippest thought on earth but those were the birth-giving words for a new group. Lo and behold, a year later we do have these songs for you to listen.
Categorize RETROUNIT? Your job but if you ask us it would be today’s pop spiced with country instruments. Anyway it’s not our intention to stick to some specific style, we just play what feels good.
So, RETROUNIT is a new rock group. Members have been around some time, experienced with this circus called life. Something we consider a good thing, that gives our music the ground it needs.

RetroUnit on saanut alkunsa useiden päivien turneella keikkabussin penkillä väsyneiden miesten hieman liikuttuneessa mielentilassa alkaneesta fiilistelystä, jossa lausuttiin syntysanat:
”Mullois pari omaa pop-biisiä… olispa hienoa, jos joku tekis niihin hienot sanat, esittäs ne niin kuin Jeff Buckley ja niihin sais vähän mukaan myös Johnny Cashiä.. koska kaikkihan me rakastamme countryä”
No. Ei nyt mitenkään omaperäinen ja mullistava lause, mutta siinä erityisessä hetkessä tämän lauseen ansiosta liikutuksen tila kasvoi niihin mittasuhteisin, että päätettiin perustaa uusi yhtye.
Jos siis RetroUnitin musiikkia pitäisi itse luokitella, nuo yllä olevat vertaukset nykypäivän pop-musiikista yhdistettynä vahvaan ja persoonalliseen tulkintaan, marinoituna kevyesti countrysävyillä, olisi se varmaan se lähin. Mutta tämänhän voi siis jokainen kuulija päätellä tarkemmin itse. Mitään itsetarkoitusta tiettyyn tyyliin ei ole. Sitä saa mitä tulee.

Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
