Currently This is a one man act! However, I'm seeking a bassist and a drummer to make this a trio. Anyone interested, please let me know.
Influenze
Eric has been strongly influenced by a number of different artists and styles over the years. He grew up in a household where the family listened to the Country music of the sixties and seventies, as well as a lot of folk music. You could say Eric was "Country when Country wasn't cool." After entering highschool, he discovered hard rock and metal and devoted himself to these genres of music for several years.
As Eric matured, so did his taste in music. He studied formally with Mr. Jeffery Kust of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Chamber Music Group while he was in college. A love for fingerstyle guitar developed out of this experience. Eric has actually developed his own unique style of finger picking which many musicians find very difficult to copy.
Eric has now combined his love of blues, country, folk, roots, classical and rock into a unique style that can only be described as "Eric Music". He never liked to emmulate the style or solos of other players. He agrees with Fender's slogan of "Innovate- Don't Emmulate". While his peers were out trying to learn note-for-note a new Eddie VanHalen solo, or the entire repitore of classic rock, Eric devoted his time to writing in the areas of his interest and developing his own style. On his most recent albulm, All She Ever Wanted, several styles of music are represented and he uses no less than six different voices when singing!

Eric Klemme has provided us with a new type of sound. He has soul, folk and blues mixed into one. All she ever wanted, the title of his album gets into the depths of his past relationship with his ex-wife. His inspirations for the songs he writes and performs make his music easy for you to understand this man and surely others out there, as well. My 16 year old son, Nicholas is a musician and appreciated his style of music, which in my mind is a wonderful thing for one musician to another. I am confident he will continue to have inspiration as he ventures into new territory along his Journey of life

"Downhome" is one of the best guitar instrumentals I have ever heard! It is crisp and clean...it literally takes me away to another place...even when I am at work. Eric's precision and finger display, sways the listener to be blown away at his artistry and compassion of each note played. His music takes me back to a place in my heart that is both familar and enjoyable. Eric puts not only his heart and soul into his music, but you also feel his touch and crisp style that isn't to be confused with anything else I have ever listened to. It's almost sensual! Eric definately has his own unique style. I pray God blesses you Eric in all you do! Thanks for giving me a whole new definition of what music can be! I love your style....keep it going! Kari
You are The Sun
Happiness, Content, Joy.
The meanings for the Sun are fairly simple and consistent.
Young, healthy, new, fresh. The brain is working, things that were muddled come clear, everything falls into place, and everything seems to go your way.
The Sun is ruled by the Sun, of course. This is the light that comes after the long dark night, Apollo to the Moon's Diana. A positive card, it promises you your day in the sun. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. As the moon symbolized inspiration from the unconscious, from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made fully consciousness and wide awake. You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy.
Eric the Musician:
Eric Klemme originally hails from the southwest side of Chicago, where the neighborhood culture of rock and blues influenced him at an early age. After taking organ lessons as a child for two years, Eric’s parents gave up forcing him to practice and allowed him to pick his own instrument. Eric chose the electric guitar.
Beginning with hard rock and metal in his early years, Eric gradually began working on classical and finger-style in the late 1980s. Eric studied with Jeff Kust, classical guitarist for the chamber music group of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for several years while learning the basics of musical theory. He found the discipline of classical and finger-style music only made his rock and blues licks better.
Eric’s love of blues rock has been influenced by greats such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Billy Gibbon, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Albert King, Buddy Guy, Mississippi John Hurt, just to name a few. In each performance, you can hear their inspiration in his playing.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Eric went through a fervent period of songwriting, which led to the self-recorded album Guitar Classics in 1992. This “burst” of songwriting happened again in 2002 when Eric released his blues influenced Cars & Guitars and folk inspired For An Audience of One. A holiday album, Cosmopolitan Christmas was produced in late 2002 and Lowertown Electric was completed in 2003.
From the beginning Eric has played in bands with friends and respected local musicians. His performances have ranged from intimate coffeehouse settings to outdoor concerts. In each case – one factor remained the same – Eric loves the energy that comes from playing live.
Eric The Reverend:
In reality, Eric is actually a reverened. He served as an ordained Lutheran pastor in the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod for over ten years. Eric's first parish was Saint Martin's Lutheran Church in Winona, MN. He also served as the campus pastor for Lutheran Student Fellowsip for Winona State University. Eric loved Winona very much and misses the times he had there. Eric served five more congregations (almost one a year) for the next five years and virtually had a nervous breakdown. Due to gross polotics, he became burned out and left formal ministry. He is now a diversified individual serving as a professor of religious studies and philosophy and a musician.
As a pastor Eric spent years developing his public speaking skills, been on the television, radio, and even wrote his own bi-line for the Isanti County News called Pulpit Talk. Eric was known for his lively and entertaining sermons, (in which he usually incorporated his music) and dynamic teaching style.
Eric as a Professor and Author:
Eric is cuurrently teaching at two colleges as a philosopher and theologian. He has also written two books: Pieces of Me- The Musings and Remeberings of a mentally Ill Man of Faith, and Life Beyond the Ripples- Christianity and the Global Rippalistic Effect. Eric is putting his dynamic teaching style and love of education to good use as a college professor. He has aspirations of one day achieving a doctoral degree in modern/postmodern Christian thought.
After more than ten years serving a s a Lutheran pastor, and the end of a ten year marriage, Eric felt free to finally pursue his life long dream of music. He is just starting out in this buisness at the age of 40! Even though he tried to incorporate his music as much as possible in his ministry, he never had the freedom to do the kind of music he dreamed of doing. The Lutheran Church he served was very staid and traditional. They were not too hot about young whipper-snappers chaning anything. So while much younger players have been doing their thing, Eric is just beginning and is totaly confused by this whole buisness, yet he chuggs on! His love of enlightening his mind and life and incorporating his past and current experiences and themes that also enlighten his music.

As Thanksgiving Day rolls around, It brings up some facts, quite profound. We may think that we're poor, Feel like bums, insecure, But in truth, our riches astound.
We have friends and family we love; We have guidance from heaven above. We have so much more Than they sell in a store, We're wealthy, when push comes to shove.
So add up your blessings, I say; Make Thanksgiving last more than a day. Enjoy what you've got; Realize it's a lot, And you'll make all your cares go away.
