Formed in the late 90's...A group of childhood friends from Wapato, Wa. started making music on a karaoke machine....Thus forming the group/crew REZHOGS. Underground pioneers from there hometown. Went from making casette tapes to releasing a full-length album. "Welcome to Yakama", which by the way happens to be sold out...Ryan Craig, founder of the Rezhogs teamed up with than YV Tech Student, Radio Station volunteer...Nate Winishut. A Producer, Rapper, Engineer. Welcome to Yakama featured rez classics such as "broke" and "To the top"
REZHOGS established a name for themselves quickly, performing in local spots from Wapato, Wa., Tacoma, Wa., all the way to Warm Springs, Or. But what the Rezhogs had brewing up there sleeve, kinda hit unexpected. One of the tightest beats ever, with a catchy hook. Their first single had people turning there heads quick, and until this day, still has them singing along...The Classic song "Cruisin through the Valley". The single which made Rezhogs "True Stories" one of the most anticiapted albums of the year in 2006...True Stories established the Hogs as a "household" name so to say, now '09 this album is sold out as well
As there careers boosted with self promotion, a third project was in the works. The third chapter...The uphill climb...Rezhogs release "The Outsiders". The most versatile album of the three. This album is set for Sold out status, and is the all around majority, the fan favorite of the three...
Outsiders was followed up quickly by a project put together by Ryan Craig. A true one of a kind. "The Native Hip Hop Hour, volume 1" with co-host....SUPAMAN! An album solely for Native American muscians wanting exposure for there radio hit talents. The album has a solid, feel good, positive vibe to it. One thing to note, for parents who care about what there kids listen too...The album has no swearing!
With there rising "rezfame" on the rise, the Rezhogs were nominated for a NAMMY. The Native American Grammy Awards, which is held in New York. Rezhogs were nominated for Best short Video for the Drinking song. Best Pop album in The Outsiders, and Best Compilation album in The Native Hip Hop Hour volume 1. And while they came up short this year, they are preparing for a return, in which they can take the stage again for another performance.
Rezhogs were the workforce behind Offones' "Past Due Bills"....
But in the Summer of '08 Rezhogs started making noise again, with the release of N8's "Wasted Talent" An album made entirely in IRAQ! while Nate was serving army duty! He still found time to produce and record...Wasted Talent is moving units quick across the Nation, with such hits as "Suicide Queen", "You dont know what its like", and the Catchy-classic "After me"
N8's Wasted Talent is already getting the nod for the NAMMY's.
Sometime throughout the year, starting now, Rezhogs will release "All Day, All Night" A Rezhog Records Compilation that has the whole Rezhogs Family on it.
As of now though, make sure that you pick up That Past Due Crew..."Bacc Pay" brought to you by SeanOne, and Offone.
So wether youve been down since day one, or you just jumped on the bandwagon, you are not going to miss anything that has REZHOGS on it!
And I cant say much, but they all felt the time is now, but when the Rezhogs release "Low Life", they all feel like its the one, thats gonna take em there.
So from Hometowns, to reservations across the nation.
The all nations skate jam in New Mexico, to putting together the 1st annual Huckleberry Jam in in Yakima, Wa....The REZHOGS are now in there prime, and our already making moves...The simple way to put it is..."THE YEAR OF THE HOGS IS UPON US ALL!"
