‘Silver Key’, the next track to graduate to single release status from Richard's ‘Always The Sun’ album will soon be among us. The fiercely-minded tech-trancer has torn, tornado-like, across the dancefloors of Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules and a host of other spinning A-listers over the last month. It will hit stores on the 30th of November courtesy of Magik Muzik and comes complete with a hot-wiring from Sied van Riel.
In 2007 he entered at 91, in ’08 he leapt up 25 places up to 66 and this year Richard Durand has broken the Top 50 for the first time (landing at 49). All things considered it’s been another remarkable year - one that’s seen him release ‘Always the Sun’, rock numerous sell-out gigs (including the Trance Energy Australia and his Judgement Sundays residency) and thrown a fair few floor-scorcher remixes in to the mix! Richard would like to say a great big bottom-of-the-heart ‘thanks to every single one of you’ that put his name on an e-ballot. In the prescribed manner Richard was interviewed by the magazine about the last year - you can read all about it by clicking here
The nights might be darker, the weather a bit ropier, but Richard is looking to push aside any winter blues with some big festival-sized performances. Having already ably wrocking (!) Wroclaw in Poland for Sensation (alongside Erick E, Sebastian Ingrosso et all), come the 31st of December it’ll be Australia’s turn. Melbourne is the city as the ‘Cirque Du Soleil’ of electronic dance events brings-it New Year’s Eve style. If you happen to find yourself anywhere in Australasia around the time… well suffice to say it’s not going to be one to miss!.
Featuring a testosterone-charged tracklist that features the likes of Andy Dugiud, Alex O’Rion and Airbase (all the ‘A’s!), Richard has provided the latest Endurance Work Out Mix for Men’s Health Magazine. So, if alongside your dance floor activities you’ve got an appointment with an abdominser or running machine over the course of this month, pick it up and give it a spin! Naturally enough there’s plenty of Richard’s own gear on there too (including ‘Silver Key’ and ‘Something Else’) to pound pedals to, and if you live inside the UK you can pick up the mix via ITunes and read all about the Men’s Health Mix here.
If you’re sitting with an iPod or iPhone currently tucked in your pocket at this moment, you’ll likely be pleased to hear that Richard now has his very own App for it! Staying on top of all Richard’s runnings could not now be easier. You can check the latest tracks and videos, keep up to date with his Blog and browse gig footage and photos with just a few touches of the screen. Click here to get the full lowdown on it.
