Of the Fiction I do like, I've read everything by: Mark Twain, Edgar Allen Poe, Charles Bukowski (some is autobio too), Kurt Vonnegut, Ayn Rand, Ernest Hemmingway, Norman Mailer, William S. Burroughs, William Faulkner, Carlos Casteneda, Jack Kerouac, J.G. Ballard, and otherbeats, freaks, and very few lit geeks. I read newspapers and magazines VORACIOUSLY and have a good trivia memory because of this (DO NOT WAGER AGAINST ME... I will win!)
