A Long Winter broke up in the fall of 2002. Adam and Owen are now in Desoto Jones (www.myspace.com/desotojones). John is enrolled at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood and is still writing music.

We just wanted to let you know that our new single from our upcoming cd, The World Awakened, is out. The finished cd is expected to come out in around 2 months or so. This is our way of saying thanks for being so patient when we were busy recording. Keep it metal!!
Yes! I agree with Matt and everyone else who is saddened by the break up. Mainstream just doesn't get it....A Long Winter had the real shit. Now the underground is even pretty fucked....all this new screamo stuff could make this "dead" (;'() band blend in....but I still think they just did what they did back then, and it fuckin showed.
