A unique cross over between traditional guitar led heavy metal, new metal, Indie and punk - NME
Alter Bridge, Tool, Metallica and even our very own Black Sabbath. Its all in there and the balance is spot on! - Metal Hammer
Imagine Chris Cornell had started a super group with Metallica and not Rage Against the Machine for their sound. - Sandman Magazine
Not remotely power metal, their music is difficult to catergorise, but the quality speaks for itself - Terrorizer Magazine
The band are very much metal, and very much have their own unique style, but hidden within there is shades of early Manic Street Preachers and Therapy? - Raised Horns
Northern England's RISE TO ADDICTION return with their second album, 'Some Other Truth' out on Mausoleum Records released November 2009.
'Some Other Truth' is the follow-up to the bands highly acclaimed debut album 'A New Shade of Black for the Soul' released in 2007, again via Mausoleum.
Since the release of their debut, RTA have toured all over the European continent with doom legends Trouble and New York alt-rockers Warrior Soul. They have also played metal festivals over Europe, including the UK's own Bloodstock event twice, both times on the main stage.
Produced by RISE TO ADDICTION guitarist, Steve Wray, the 10 songs on the album distil the sound of ‘A New Shade…’ and show inspired natural progression and focus of the RTA sound. From the turbocharged rock-punk opener 'Sick of Me' via the doom-riffed 'The Whisper' to the shred-fest within 'One More Time' and the catchy hooks of 'Fade Away', Rise To Addiction's ‘Some Other Truth’ is certainly a collection of the finest 'modern day classic rock' delivered by a fresh band that know...understand... and show respect to their peers.
Unlike a lot of new bands, they actually have something worth getting excited about. (NME)

Times New Viking "Rambunctious to new standards of blessed impenetrability, Ohio trio Times New Viking’s simple-on-paper M.O. is to take the sweetest of super-sweet pop music, indiefied though it is, and strip it of its outer layers of glitz and gloss. The result is music that crackles and fuzzes, screams and roars; it’s an X-Factor audition in a spin-dryer, potential sing-alongs rendered riotously raw through purposeful deconstruction."
