Bio
The Roberto López Project is a polycultural orchestra presenting the original compositions and arrangements of composer and director Roberto López (artiste révélation Radio-Canada Musique 2010-2011 and JUNO Award Nominee). The project captures the essence of traditional Latin rhythms in an urban and contemporary environment, encompassing styles such as Cumbia-Funk, Urban-Mambo, Boogaloo, Latin-Soul, Latin-Reggae, Colombian Pacific coast's Currulao, Colombian Caribbean coast's Porro Pelayero, and 70's Salsa Dura... all mixed with a unique sound. -

Sounds Like
"With added African pep and sparkle, and an intriguing fusion of cumbia and Maghrebi raï, two continents seem too little for López! " Rupert Bottenberg – MONTREAL MIRROR /// "Making some serious waves with this sophomore outing... López creates some serious butt-shaking grooves!" » Philippe Renaud – LA PRESSE
