I was born in May 1955 in Aachen, Germany. In my youth I was mainly interested in technics and electrical things although I leant towards music too.

At the age of 13 I got my first music instrument. It was a guitar with which I picked up my first experiences and it roughly formed my taste of music. Soon after, it was obvious that I had been more interested in experimental sounds. I eagerly tried to implement these with alienated guitar sounds into the current rock music.

In 1970 I stopped playing guitar to devote myself more into electronics and electrical engineering - certainly during my spare time because I was still at school until about 1972. The next 4 years I specialized in development and production of electronic music equipment.
From 1974, both, my interests in music and electrical engineering created new, more specific ideas in "experimental and spherical music". Inspired by musicians and groups like Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Klaus Schulze, Can, and even Deep Purple or Emerson Lake & Palmer. I consolidated my own independent style of music and sound using individually tailored, self developed and produced synthesizer systems. This also has formed my first individual own sound and style.

In 1978 I had the first serious contact with professional music. My activities in the development of electronic equipment for recording studios and musicians decisively made the foundations for my career.
In 1978 my son "Klaus" was born. At that time I was a fan of Klaus Schulze and it was my wish to get him as godfather for my son. So, I have asked him … and he did it.
This was the beginning of our friendship. In 1978 I signed my first contract to the IC label which was founded the same year by Klaus Schulze.
In 1979 my debut album Harmonic Ascendant was released. It was a huge success. Although my style of music was rather independent Harmonic Ascendant caused quite a stir, even Worldwide. The press said: "A small splash for German conditions" (Headline of AVZ, Aachen, 1980).

Until today I ‘ve released approx. 16 solo releases. Over the years my music has developed into a leading style in EM. Each release has it’s own highlight, sometimes technical and sometimes musical.
I’ve also composed and released a few other successful projects like “Universal Ave.” which was released in 1986 under the pseudonym “Double Fantasy”. With Double Fantasy I found a new musically style which was called “Californian Groove”.” in the USA. Universal Ave. reached the US-Billboard-Charts. For more info please go to www.news-music.de.

After my cd release “D.MO. Vol.1 in 1998 I had a creative break for a few years. In 2005 I restarted my carrier with my release “brainCHIPS” which was released as a vocal and also as an instrumental version by www.SphericMusic.de in Germany.

In 2006 I have also restarted my success project “Double Fantasy” under the new name “Food For Fantasy”. I continued to play the style of the original own original “Double Fantasy” and have released a new album called “The Secret Of Dreamin”.
In 2007 I released my 16th solo album “SphereWare” , a real spherical and groovy space album with influences from the late 70's (just the right for dreamin and relaxing).
