Many know them as the distinctive vocal sound on the theme for the previous series of the hit TV soapie ‘Home & Away’. Or maybe its via their regular satirical song contributions for the 1 Rating 2GB weekend NRL Continuous Call Team radio program. Either way, the fact is, the Robertson Brothers just happen to be one of the most talented and most respected vocal groups Australia has ever produced. With 11 Mo and ACE Awards, along with two ARIA nominations they are now undisputedly the Australian entertainment industry’s 1 Vocal Trio. In 2005 they were asked by the Australian Idol producers to take on the role as the backing vocalists for the TV series of that year. The Brothers consequently featured on Shannon Noll’s 1 debut album.
Despite the fact that the Brothers have scored just 2 Top 50 hits in their home country, their recording/live reputation has spread to the various corners of the world leading to Brothers shows in Germany, USA, Austria, Peoples Republic of China (Festival Opening Ceremony in front of 50,000 people), The Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Vanuatu. They have also scored Top 10 hits in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Lebanon! They have even been approached to perform shows in Russia.
Never to be daunted by any occasion, be it a marriage proposal at a restaurant for an audience of 2, singing the National Anthem at a Swans AFL game before a crowd of 35,000, or performing John Lennon's "Imagine" at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony to an incredible audience of 80,000 people!
The Robertson Brothers live song repertoire is as broad as it is diverse! In the Ballad show their special 3 part vocal harmonies are showcased in a blend of originals, smooth pop classics and slick Adult Contemporary songs from the likes of Lionel Ritchie to the latest in R'n'B. Then there is the hugely popular Party show featuring a mix of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s dance classics all with vocal performances unashamedly better than the originals in most cases.
You will hear a unique mix, ranging from the Bee Gees to Bon Jovi and everything in between! The combined Ballad & Party show has also proven to be extremely popular for Weddings and Corporate Events. Just a few of the Brothers Corporate event performances include: Theiss P/L (2 consecutive years), Toyota Awards (2 consecutive years), McDonalds (3 consecutive years), Brothers Int, Peppers Resorts and Vodafone.
