О себе:
I am a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian, and I like to write stories, both fiction and non-fiction, poetry, and songs. I'm currently working on "Blood of the Willing," a young adult novel about a girl who has prophetic dreams and is trying to cure a vampire. A short story based on part of this book won a contest from http://AuthorsbyDesign.com. To read it, click on "Museletter" and then "May Issue" and go to page 6. It is called "Blood Ties." The same story also won "Best Original Fiction" at KumoriCon 2006 (an anime convention). I get a lot of flack from some other Christians for writing about vampires, but this story, and the ones I hope I can follow it with, has a Christian message. I got the idea from a dream, and I trust a lot of my dreams. I like the symbol of the vampire for various reasons. To read a little about my novel, go to http://geocities/robin_layne19841999. A more extensive domain called "Robin's Nest" is recently no more, but I hope to put that material and more on a different website in the future.

I have been writing a lot of short pieces, mostly prose, in Write Around Portland classes, and I'm preparing to participate in some open mic poetry readings and music presentations. Please see my blog for other details of what is going on.

Hmm. A lot of people I'd like to meet have passed on but I expect to see them in Heaven. One is Opal Whiteley, a writer who was popular in the 1920's for her childhood diary, which was later said (falsely, I believe) to be a hoax. I sort of would like to meet author C.S. Lewis, but I feel like I already have through his writings. More than him, I would like to meet the woman he married, Joy Davidman Gresham Lewis. She seems to have been a very interesting person, and not just anyone could have won Lewis' heart! I wrote here that I wanted to meet author Stephen R. Donaldson. I got to do so, very briefly, at a reading. But I didn't ask him the questions I wanted to. I would like to meet other writers, and publishers, and other Christians.
