At the age of 9, Robin's parents purchased a lead guitar, junior drum set, and a bass guitar just for her. After the strings on the lead guitar and the heads on the junior drum set broke the bass was the only instrument left standing. Robin, however, was already attracted to the sound of the bass and began shedding right away. She took one or two electric bass lessons and she took a few music theory classes in college, but she is primarily self-taught.
Robin played in a gospel stage play called Before We Say I Do which was produced by Grammy nominee, Michael McCurtis. Robin has also performed or recorded with notable artists such as Timothy Wright, Beverly Crawford, Klymaxx w/Cheryl Cooley, Darren Gholston, Bobby Jones, Calvin Bernard Rhone, Donnie McClurkin, Eric Darius, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, Luis Conte, Louie Cruz Beltran, Donald Hayes, Jonathan Dubose, L. Young, Chanell Jones, Pete Escovedo, and many other artists. In addition, Robin did a television appearance on Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) with Prophet Kim Clement.
Robin is currently playing with various bands in a variety of genres.
Robin also fronts her own instrumental neo-soul/jazz/funk band (The Robin Bramlett Band) and is currently working on the debut CD.
