Robin Foster's music has been described as the soundtrack to his own private road-movie as seen through the eyes of Michael Mann. His debut album "Life Is Elsewhere" has had unanimous praise from the press on both sides of the atlantic.
More recently HUGO BOSS have chosen "Blue Lights at Dusk" as the soundtrack to thier new international advertising campaign directed by british director Sean Ellis who also shot the stunning cover for "Life Is Elsewhere".
Robin is currently writing and recording his second studio album in Brittanny, France where he has been living for the last 10 years_____________________________________________________________________
La première chose qui vient à l'esprit lorsqu'on écoute la musique de Robin Foster, ce sont des images. La pluie qui inonde les rues de «Blade Runner». Les plaines désertiques du midwest, magnifiées par Sergio Leone. Les lumières d'une ville, la nuit, comme seul sait les filmer Michael Mann.
Cinématographiques, les chansons de Robin Foster le sont assurément. C'est cette dimension qui fait, avant tout, la différence et marque durablement l'auditeur. Impossible de résister, l'invitation au voyage, au rêve, est trop tentante.
Toujours engagé dans la quête de sa propre bande originale, il est soutenu dans cette tâche par les « Never meet your heroes », collectif de musiciens issus de diverses formations bretonnes.
Propulsé sur le devant de la scène par le phénomène MySpace, où sa page reçoit un nombre impressionnant de visites, il se lance, avec ses acolytes, dans l'enregistrement de «Life is elsewhere» avec un son puissant et une pochette signée par Sean Ellis, photographe et réalisateur anglais, auteur de l'excellent long-métrage «Cashback».
