Hi, my name's Artie Q. I write and sing pop songs. There is no band, just me with one or two friends. If you like the songs posted here, try the CD "Finally ..."
and as a digital download on and ..>Amazon.com Widgets..>
Also, Boys 'n Girls, the very wonderful new COLLABORATIONS CD and MP3's are now available on and
Including songs cowritten with all your favourite MySpace & Mi7 artists: Mindmovie, Aeronaut, Claas Reimer, Mrs. Q, Humanoise, Subliminal ... Oh yes, the list is endless ... "erhm, well, actually, that's it. Ok, never mind, it's a spiffing album, anyway, available in cd and digital download format—Yeehah, MySpace Peeps!"
NOW, on a completely different, yet highly related subject (because I wrote it, Peeps): "Wanna read a book, little boy!" It's a free download and it's Funny as F**k! However, it will cost you a fortune in ink and paper if you want to print it out, as most people don't seem to want to read online or from a computer monitor. So in a sense it's not free ... oh hell, you get my point, don't you? So, give a struggling artist a break will ya, and download my book for free. ON ONE CONDITION: That you tell other people about it. Got it? Good! Click the image -------------------------->
Influences
I came of age in the early '70's pop of Roxy/Bowie/T Rex etc. and had a brief flirtation with electric Chicago Blues and Trance. Though if I had to pick three artists whose music has lingered the longest: Bill Nelson, ABBA, and Ennio Morricone ... but really, does this say anything about the music on this page? "Hmh," I dunno folks, you decide.
Sounds Like
You tell me, MySpace folk. I've been getting a plethora of names: Maroon 5, Alphaville, The Killers, Martin L. Gore (when did he start with the "L," for f**k's sake!), Erasure, Talk Talk ... personally, I don't think I sound like any of 'em, really, but whadoIknow? However, I'd be happy if you added your two cents; I could do with a good laugh :)
About me? This is all you need to know ...
... a friggin' whacko! 8—)
But, if you really are a glutton for punishment and MUST have MORE—knock yourself out, MySpace people @ ArtieQ.Com!

I don't know what these agents were looking for, but when a book makes me think about myself and the people around me then you're already halfway there.

Hey there Dear!! I'm writing songs for John Hall's West Virginia's Christmas Classics CD. Here's a peek. Songs like; Jingle Bells Grandpa smells, he pooped his pants again. Someone crack a window, the air is gettin' thin Hey. Or..I'll Be Home For Christmas 2013, Parole Board says, won't be sooner 'til then, Try not to cheat on me. And don't forget..Dashing through the Snow, Dodging Bullets All the Way, Robbed the Neighbors Still, But it's Christmas what the Hey? All these Happy and Heartwarming Songs can now be brought to you through the skillful hands of one of West Virginia's finest guitar players, John Hall. Written and produced by a small town girl herself, Madera. Only she could convey and understand the feel of small town Christmas Classics. Don't forget: Possum Pie roasting on an open fire..(cause they cut off the electric)..Jack Frost Nipping At Your Nose..(Cause the front door won't close)Tiny Tots with their pants hanging off..It's Christmas down in the Cove. They know that Daddy's hiding in the hay. Because the State Parole Board's on their Way. And all the Children are trying to spy. Cause when they see them coming, Daddy's gonna fly..(like Santa Claus) And so I'm telling you of Christmas Days shared by Hill Billies in the Hay, Tots with a frown with their pants hanging down.At the window they will spy knowing Daddy's gonna fly..It's Christmas the West Virgina Way!!
Hi Robin, I understand what you mean about time in the pod, it does a body n soul good. I'm sure the T Man would be very proud of you and love all those songs up on that player of yours! Such a shame that you had to lose him.
I like the T Man's Logo and I'm sorry to have misinterpret it that one time, if you recall. Nice that you mentioned him and keep his memory alive.
The Moment is great! Like the slow pulsating intro and the beat kicking in later is very nice, uplifting! And, as usual, I will probably go around humming this melody today!
And by the way, Morricone is such a creative composer! Fave moment: The shootout scene with the shifting eye close-ups in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly... ...great piece of music!
I thought that sound familiar, but it was never up on you player before - goes to show ya, you can listen to a tune so many times, put it up on your player and it didn't dawn on me that it was a track from your "Finally" CD. Still loves it though.
Hey Artie! When did you put up the video...it's AWESOME. I've said it before but YOU CAN SING! Great stuff! Thanks for the comment on "Iron Horses"...isn't Simon amazing? Have a great week. Mark
This last week I seem to have lost my appetite for food and red wine, so I guess "Pizza Man" isn't going to happen. ;-) I started reading your (e-)book yesterday. Nice!
Hey Prince of Pop - please send me the latest version. I have not started yet but I hope I can soon...I love the song. How are you ? Have a good time dear friend Achim
