Rollin’ Sixers live to rock, and rock hard, drawing influences from the blues-tinged rock of Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, the psychedelia of the Doors and the rock n' roll licks of Chuck Berry.
Started in mid-2003 as ‘Triple 6 Poser’ and described by KLue magazine as 'no-frills rock' (whatever that means), the band went through a change in line-up and now features original drummer Eddy (of Mojo Pin fame) on vocals and blues harp, allowing Khai (ex-Khaimano/Y2K) to focus on guitars while Jay remains on bass. They've been steadily playing shows all over Malaysia and Singapore since they first started, honing their skills for years at the notorious Paul's Place. Henry (also of Mojo Pin) was brought in to aid in the 6-string assault and complements the band’s sound with his own brand of guitar-slingin’.
Paul Millott, living legend and founder of the infamous 'Paul's Place' used to back the band as drummer. After getting drunk at many gigs around Malaysia and Singapore, Paul stepped down allowing Ian to take over the mantle of drummer and resident sex symbol.
The band continues to work hard to expose themselves (not literally) through many gigs, letting their sleazy blues rock from hell further garner a reputation amongst pundits, listeners and gig-goers alike.
When they’re not together as a band, the boys keep themselves busy with their day-jobs (which actually make money for them). Other interests include bourbon, girls of legal age and saving the planet.
